Everything about this hotel was lovely. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were delicious. The setting of the restaurant was very pretty, overlooking a valley. The room was immaculate and very spacious - and comfortable!

Location is ideal. Big room, tastefully decorated.
Breakfast was beautiful.
Staff are super friendly.
Noise travels. We arrived a few days before our wedding to relax… but we did not leave very relaxed. We stayed on the same level as the entrance. On our first day, after a long day of travel we wanted to nap but was abruptly woken up by another guest having a screaming match with someone on the phone for 20 minutes. The staff did not intervene to remind her there were other guests in the hotel. Even when she eventually went into her room, we could hear everything.
Breakfast was beautiful, so much choice. But everyday a group of staff congregated at the entrance of the breakfast room talking very loudly. Impossible to relax. This loud talking also spilled into the entrance area. Which didn’t make for very relaxing environment.
It’s an old house and I understand sound proofing isn’t always possible, but there should be an awareness of this with guests experience in mind, particularly for the high price per night.
Also there was a bath with a hand held shower head in the room, but no shower. My wife did not enjoy washing her hair, it was an inconvenience particularly when we were in a rush with last minute wedding organizing.
Lastly, there was never a member of staff manning the reception desk - several times we had questions, wanted water or wanted to address one of the above issues, but to no avail.

The rooms were very nice and big and they gave us free fruit and water, the pool was very nice
The bedding had crumbs in it and I noticed the door to the bathroom had fingerprints even before we entered the room. The partying situation was weird, had to walk between properties but it wasn’t a bad walk
