Happy Holiday Sintra Guesthouse & Breakfast

Eclectic, Bohemian, colorful and artsy, if this is your style. Comfort of home with equipped kitchen. Location is just perfect. For sure this is not for hotel type of clientele, especially if sharing bathroom may be a problem for you (not a problem, plenty of space and options here). Overall very happy Sintra for us. Would stay longer than two nights if I knew. Easy to take a train to Lisbon and back (40 min to Rossio) and use it as your base. We do a full hike to Pena palace and Moorish, it was raining hard and we were soaking wet, but it was was very special. Count 1-1.5 hrs hike fi fit people. There is a sign along the road after historic centre to tell you when to enter the hike. We got confused around moorish castle - you have to go to the main road for the last leg of where there is a fork to go to moorish castle on the trail - as you will not be able to reach the entrance to Pena Palace where they check your tickets, it has to be the main road., so turn right where cars go. We were almost late for our 9am Pena palace tour and they are very strict with timing. Overall Pena palace was very busy and in rain not so special, even in the morning. Moorish was awesome even in rain and fog (be prepared, umbrellas?). Do lSuntra palace. We almost dismissed it but it was better than the old section of pena, with its premium pricing. Sintra palace was empty!!! Royal huge space, awesome interactivity, low ticket price and right in town. Also - super down to earth places to eat around happy holidays Sintra (we were in a blue beautiful house, I see there are two locations). Recommend getting. Bottle of wine, some cold cuts fro Pingo Doce supermarket to get some goodies to put in a fridge here. And enjoy especially when raining and you are tired to walk any more. It is truly comfortable to go back home to this place, even if you feel like watching Netflix to chill before your next adventure.

i love that place and i want visit again

It's self-check-in to this beautiful house - it's bright pink and you won't miss it. The location is just a 4-5 minute walk to the Sintra train station so it's super convenient as well. Served as a great base for me to explore the beautiful Sintra town. My bedroom was a little dated and had a slightly odd, damp smell, but all other shared common spaces are tastefully furnished and clean. Just a note that the house is located down a steep, cobbled slope, so it might not be accessible for the elderly / those with mobility issues. For the price point, it was great (:
