The interior of the Pinewood Guesthouse is so inspiring, featuring natural materials with a modern flair. Our room was a good size, and we loved having access to the common living room and sauna. The surroundings were beautiful and quiet, right in the middle of nature. There was a lovely swimming spot nearby that we visited frequently, and the city of Lahti isn't too far away. We will definitely be back!

This is a true Finnish home that everyone must experience, just an hour’s drive from Helsinki! We rented this place for New Years. It easily fits 8 people or even more with couches. The interior is a work of art, blending modern appliances with traditional wood furniture, carvings, Finnish paintings and 1920s furnace. The kitchen is the most fully equipped kitchen I’ve EVER been to, making it ideal for gatherings where you want to cook full meals. No need to bring any of your own kitchenware. The host Tiina is very sweet and responsive to all questions. The fields and horses around the cottage are great for a walk to get fresh air and clear your mind. And don’t forget the Finnish wood fire sauna with genuine wood. The rocks get scorching hot in there for the authentic steam & experience. Highly recommend and our group will definitely be back!
