Quiet location, just what we needed for a relaxing break

Nice quiet location away from any crowds, which is just what we wanted for a relaxing time. Hosts were friendly but not intrusive. We were just a few miles away from Open Top Bus Tour stop and within easy driving distance to other tourist attractions. We loved it.

The Hideaway is indeed a hidden Gem!

The Hideaway is indeed a gem! Lovely welcome from Russell & Tony and this was such a peacefu and memorablel part of our overseas trip in the New Forest countryside, which we had never explored before when we used to live in the UK. Hospitality was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed our walk through the New Forest countryside with Tony and we were very fortunate to also enjoy his company and spend a great time chatting about the UK and NZ over an impromptu healthy home-prepared meal. Hope the Spanish wine was good and nice touch on the NZ wine! The accommodation had excellent attention to detail and was ideal for our 4 day stay to explore the New Forest. Highly recommended and will bookmark this accommodation for our next return trip! Many thanks to you both for creating a lovely memory.

Rural but accessible. Everything you need. Lovely hosts.

The annex is wonderful accommodation if you're on your own or a couple. You basically have your own flat which is clean and has everything you need. Set in a lovely rural location, but only a few minutes from the M27 motorway for easy access (3 minutes from Junction 1 of the M27 by car) I will definitely be booking again when I next need to be in the area. The hosts are lovely and very accommodating. The accommodation is situated on a lovely lane. Horses and donkeys (and sometimes deer) are a short walk away.

Great location for a small family for a few nights

Had everything we needed and well equipped kitchen. Beautifully quiet location but no view. Check in was straightforward. A lot of the kitchen items had been very poorly washed up (if at all) by previous guest and having to wash these before using them was irritating.

Didn't have a warm welcome when we were told that they didn't accept children even though it clearly states children of all ages are welcome. The toilet and the bath were dirty and there was food and litre under the sofa.

First of all we like little touches that our hosts left for us.. we had bread, butter, jam,milk and orange juice and three types of cereals left for us.. and because of that we felt straight away like at home.. place was very clean and cosy. We loved every minute being there.. Friendly people and very welcoming.. I miss this place already..

Not what we was expecting when booking for a family

Caravan was clean

We booked as a family with 2 kids, because looking at the photos it had a large field with trampoline and swing, but upon arrival we was told we were not allowed anywhere other than a 10ft piece of grass, it should state not kid friendly and we would of booked somewhere else, booked for 2 nights left after one as couldn’t keep our 2 year old from want to go on trampoline and a run round

Good communication from hosts. Lovely extra touch with the milk, juice and cereal. Only 10 minute drive to Peppa Pig World and perfectly located to visit The New Forest. Shower pressure was fantastic!!! Everything was clean and tidy. Very pleasant stay.

The caravan was very well equipped and the hosts left fresh produce which was a lovely bonus. The location was perfect for a trip to Peppa Pig World, 7 minutes away. Perfect for 2 little ones. Everything was spotless and set in a quiet location.

We stayed at the New Forest Hideaway for our trip to Peppa Pig world (about ten mins away) and it was the perfect place to stay for a couple of nights with our little boy. We would have stayed for longer if we could!

Quiet and close to Paultons Park

The shower is powerful. You get a huge TV, with decent internet. It’s great if you’re going to Paultons Park and it’s truly a hideaway (down a dead-end and nice and quiet). The owners are nice and friendly.

The floor needs a mop – when our daughter dropped something and we wiped it, the wipe came away very dirty. The furnishings are a little run down (there’s some kind of leak near the ceiling). The pillows and duvet are very flat and aren’t comfortable. When you arrive you see a swing and trampoline, but these are off-limits, which could be a bit disheartening for kids.

It is quiet, it is in the New Forest, it was immaculately clean. The small touches like the Blue Ray movies (the kids loved it!), the fliers with suggestions of trails and things to do. We felt comfortable from the moment we walked in and the owner is a very likeable person. Hope to be back soon!

Perfect place for a short getaway

The place is in a very quiet location so you won't hear cars or noise of any kind. It's a good place if you want to relax and go for long walks in the forest. The kitchen is very well equipped and there was breakfast (bread, cereal, jam, milk, juice,etc) that we didn't expect.

The bed wasn't comfortable and our backs suffered a bit.

The location was perfect right on the forest edge. Very close 7 minute journey to Paulton’s Park and very easy to reach a good selection of restaurants and a shop/garage quickly by car. Very well equipped and had thought of everything.

Sofabed and main bed was rather hard but expected really as this was a caravan bed. The time we travelled was great weather wise but if we had travelled and stayed a day sooner with 40 degree heat it would have been very difficult to keep cool I think.
