Unexpected but highly appreciated historical stay in the Farm

very unique experience and stay in the farm, place full with history and devoted to member of the family owned it, who is doing everything possible to preserve it and to keep the historical spirit and fame. A wonderful farmhouse!

Loved staying at this farmhouse! The history of the place is amazing. It is like stepping back in time. The room was large and there was a small fridge which I was not expecting. Paul the owner was very helpful and friendly. Excellent location to explore all the sights. Short drive to Omaha beach where there is a great restaurant. Is worth staying here. Breakfast was lovely.

Charming stay in an area so full of history

So charming, wonderful old farm with a lot of history, well-preserved with many gorgeous old fruit trees. Good breakfast with homemade jams, lovely crusty baguette, and eggs from the chickens just outside. The owner is very kind with a lot of pride for his family farm and had good tips for what to see in the area. The bathroom was also very good, especially given the age of the building. We loved the family room and having a proper bed (not sofa bed) for our daughter.

The stay was absolutely perfect. We came for DayD stuff, but the stay on this 500 years old farm was a great experience itself. The host was very caring too- gave us a lot of information and made marvelous breakfast- homemade jams, eggs…

Omaha Beach great location.

Paul runs a family farm turned Bed and Breakfast. Everything about the stay was perfection. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. The location was easy to access and nearby everything. They also have the friendliest chickens too! Thank you for the lively visit.

Paul is an excellent host. The fortifiee is so beautiful, definitely an amazing experience. the room is comfortable. The breakfast was delicious: homemade jam, eggs from his farm, good bread. The place to have breakfast is so cozy. Don't miss this place if you want to have an unforgstable experience

Authentic farmhouse, friendly host

The host is polite and friendly, reading to serve his guests. The property is historic and a few artefacts from 2nd WW are on display in the dining area. This is an authentic farmhouse turned into a quaint BnB. We would love to return here for a longer stay in the future.

For those with sensitive cat allergies, it is recommended to bring anti-histamine. There is a cat on the premise but not in the room. The room was a bit chilly in the night but the host did say he would increase the temperature when we told him.

The host, Paul, was very helpful. The apartment was super clean. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to see. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Authentic stay!

Our stay was just amazing. The place is real authentic and you can really experience how it was around 100 years ago. The old stove & old tiles and authentic furniture in the living room. The family room is also in old style but super clean with huge soft towels and soft clean carpet. The view when you wake up and open the window…just wow. The hosts make you feel at home and prepare nice breakfast. My son loved the garden and chicken tour and the bike ride😃. Thanks for the nice stay.

Une belle halte dans un lieu chargé d'histoire à deux pas des plages du débarquement.

L'accueil personnalisé était particulièrement chaleureux. Nous avons beaucoup échangé avec eux et ils ont tout mis en oeuvre pour faciliter notre séjour notamment le 1er soir quand nous avons appris que les restaurants locaux fermaient leur cuisine à 19h30/20h00!!!!

Très agréable séjour au cours du mois d’août 2025 à la Ferme fortifiée d’Enguenard qui constitue une belle découverte. Nous la recommandons pour son excellent rapport qualité prix et sa localisation. Idéalement située à proximité des hauts lieux du débarquement de juin 1944, elle permet de rayonner sur toute la côte normande, le Corentin et jusqu’au Mont Saint Michel.

Immersi nella natura

La ferme è una deliziosa location, molto curata, pulita e immersa nella campagna a pochi km dalle spiagge dello sbarco. Si tratta di un'antica casa di famiglia e Paul porta avanti la tradizione rurale. Molto attento al cliente, ci ha consigliato anche degli itinerari da seguire.

Værten (Paul) var virkelig service orienteret. Var meget optaget af at fortælle hvad vi kunne se i området og på godt engelsk. Værelset var rent, pænt og hyggeligt. God morgen mad.

Absolument tout ! Ce fut une semaine fabuleuse. Une chambre douillette avec une vue magnifique, une literie excellente, du silence, un petit déjeuner royal ( confiture maison, fruits du Verger, oeuf du poulailler sur place), prit devant une majestueuse cheminée, un hôte très gentil, disponible et accessible, plein de bons conseils de visite , une maison fabuleuse riche en déco , une propreté irréprochable.

L’accoglienza di Paul e la passione e la cura che mette nella gestione della sua casa. La pulizia delle stanze: si sentiva proprio odore di pulito. La storia della casa è affascinante e la posizione è ottima per raggiungere in macchina le spiagge dello sbarco e altri luoghi d’interesse. La colazione buonissima, tutta a base di prodotti genuini provenienti dalla sua campagna.

Un incontournable normand

L'emplacement est proche de tout, tout en étant isolé garantissant le calme pour les voyageurs. Géographiquement situé à une distance parfaite des différents sites à visiter. Le propriétaire est disponible et sympa. Amoureux de son patrimoine et de sa région. Il met à raison, en avant son gîte et sait quelles sont les différents aspects historiques de son bourg, de la ferme fortifiée. Il est de bons conseils sans être intrusif. Ses petits déjeuners sont bons et fait maison (confitures et les célèbres oeufs).

Magnifique séjour dans un lieu calme rempli d’histoire porche de plusieurs centres d’intérêt.

Superbe emplacement rempli d’histoire, très calme et en même temps à 3 minutes de l’entrée de l’autoroute qui sillonne d’est en ouest la Normandie, idéal pour visiter les différents endroits de la région. Paul est un hôte accueillant qui vous donnera des détails et des conseils pour vos excursions.
