Perfect quiet retreat with gorgeous views.

The property overall is a wonderful size for the 4 adults in our group. This is the second time we have stayed here at the beginning of the year. The living room is very cosy and nicely decorated. The kitchen is a great size and looks out to the cost beautiful views.

The only feedback I would give is updating the mattresses to being better quality. For example the Emma mattress would be so much better. The main bedroom isn't too bad but the back bedrooms need better mattresses.

Weekend birthday treat

The accommodation was extremely comfortable, very clean. Kitchen had everything you needed to cook family sized meals, very well equipped. Great location if you're OK with a bit of a hill, but that gave you stunning views.

It was feezing when we arrived and the boiler was turned right down as were the radiators, very toasty once we worked it out just took us a while....could have rang the number provided on the welcome email but didn't think of it at the time🙂

Great apartment and position.

All on one level in the property as we had my 98 year old father with us. View was spectacular. Enough seating for all. Very comfortable.

Crockery has knife marks on it. A lot of light bulbs out in the kitchen. Impossible to get tv programs as dish worn out and needs realignment. Also did not realise it had steps down to it as we found it hard to get my elderly father in and out.

Needs points addressed

Good location Good views

On first impressions it looks good and was a great view. With a nicely tiled outdoor space. On closer inspection there is a few faults that need addressing. Obviously we were staying in a split apartment, the people above didn’t have 1 dog but had 3 dogs, being the floor below the amount of noise created by the dogs at night time and in the morning was extremely noisy to a point is was waking everyone up at 5am hardly the peaceful stay we were after. I accept it’s not the dogs fault for being curious but it made our stay pretty poor with lack of sleep. This should be thought about with your bookings if anyone is thinking of going here On the steps on the way down 2 of the stones need cementing back in this is an accident waiting to happen. The microwave beeps randomly so we unplugged it. Downlights have rust on them due to no extraction The taps in the ensuite are wobbly and need sorting asap When was the eicr done on the property as the wiring by the immersion is poor The worktops have all dropped on the joints looking from when the property was bought not a lot of maintenance has been done. Some random holes that could do with filling.

Nice accommodation, but not without issues

Nicely decorated property. Fantastic views. 10 minute walk downhill, 15-20 back uphill (!), into Woolacoombe. Issues with heating encountered twice but were promptly resolved.

No clear signage to show door to Lower Upover, and no lighting on walkway from parking area to front door. Not enough wine glasses for number of guests. Oven was extremely dirty. Shower head in main bathroom broken and no door on shower in en suite - both of these issues were reported on old reviews. Can't believe others haven't commented on the noise from the apartment above. Extremely noisy floorboards. 3 different sets of guests stayed during our week-long stay. Some were noisier than other's but there is constant sound from above. This would stop us from staying again, or if less of us were in the party, we might book the upstairs apartment. The property is nicely furnished, but doesn't feel particularly well looked after. The plumber who attended said the boiler is old so keeps loosing pressure (twice during our visit, and reported on older reviews), and needs to be replaced.

spent 10 minutes trying to get into the wrong place … upper and lower were not sign posted or instruction could be. clearer.. but it made senses eventually.

lovely home to stay friendly host and lovely walks

location great the crew had great time very friendly host and easy to get sorted the issues we had and always there if any problem, very helpful with late check out, straight forward explained the check in and parking. lovely warm beautiful view home. the crew had great time to stay and lovely walks around and sea close to walk to. comfortable beds, clean definitely will recommend and stay again when in Devon

We really enjoyed our stay, just pointing out a few things we noticed. That we feel need addressing.

Apartment was very welcoming, just a few things need sorting.

Plug in Kitchen sink doesnt hold water so found it difficult to run a sink of water On pics it shows two televisions one in lounge one in bedroom, the one in bedroom is missing. Also tiles around log burner very dusty. Also the extracter fan is very greasy needs cleaning. Also the light outside the keysafe goes out to quick when trying to put keycode in in the dark.

very nice

The intermediate floor is very squeaky and the noise from above is quite loud. The patio needs extending at the front so that the table and chairs can fit properly - and you can enjoy the wonderful view

Nice property in great location but holiday ruined by a number of things wrong with property.

Lovely property in nice area. Wonderful views and close to coast,

No hot water, other than one of the showers. Despite numerous phone calls and visit by owners son. Pictures of property on advert misleading - showed other part of property inc grass garden - not available for this property, Didn't list house split with upstairs and downstairs separate. Therefore noise from above. Access to property not as easy as initially looked, so very difficult for my husband with mobility problem. Excess recycling inc food waste left outside from previous holiday party. Electrics looked patched together in a number of areas in the house and looked unsafe.
