About this cottage rental
Looking to escape up north and enjoy the Lake? Miles upon miles of trails for your ORV. Rest and Recharge at our cottage with room to sleep 8. Walking distance from St. Helen Lake for water recreation. Open floor plan w/ 1 bed and bath on 1st floor. 1 full bedroom and another for the "little's" upstairs (This room is only about 5 foot tall. An adult will not be able to stand upright in this room). Trail access is just down the road and everything in town can be accessed with your ORV or snowmobile sled!
The space
Enjoy a calm relaxed getaway in our cottage where you can stroll down to the lake, rest on the deck or light up the charcoal grill to cook the catch of the day. Out back, cook some S'mores or enjoy a cold one by the fire. Inside we invite you to open the hallway closet where you will find our supply of puzzles or a board games to play at the kitchen table. (there is a leaf under the table that can be opened to make it larger) You can also hop in the car and enjoy Houghton lake or Higgins Lake with just a short drive.

You will have access to the whole cottage with the exception of the 2 Garages.

Very peaceful & quiet neighborhood. Short drive to St. Helen and Houghton Lake areas. 9 hole golf course just a short drive away was very nice (shot a 40 ). Most amenities were available to us for use. Cabin was very comfortable & cozy. Our host was very responsive and checked in us during our stay making sure everything was going good. We recommend this cabin as a nice getaway!

We stayed here for 3 nights in August. The place was clean, close to the beach, and overall within par in that price range. I would stay here again. We did not use the fire pit or other anything outside as we mainly used this place as a place to sleep (which btw, the air conditioning works well however the upstairs gets pretty warm). The owners were easy to communicate with. This isn’t luxury, but a cute, clean, and cozy cabin in northern(ish) Michigan.
