This was a nice basic necessities cabin. Upon arriving it has spider webs/cob webs all along the celings and floors. There were dead bugs in the corners and black hairs behind doors. The floors weren't swept. The fridge and freezer were not cleaned either. There were a LOT of spider webs all over the outside of the house to (even blocking the door). To be honest I'd have a talking with the cleaning staff it looks like they are just taking the owners money.
BUT outside of the cleanliness of this cabin I enjoyed my stay.
The couches were comfy and the beds were nice the shower is beautiful and a nice large kitchen and back room. Plenty of seating. Bring your own sheets which we did anyways luckily because they had a funny smell. I did like we could pick our own heat for each room and the owner was quickly responsive when I asked for a late check out of noon he had no problem accomaditng, we went in October. The beds were nice and the kitchen table great for games.
They do need a new kitchen sponge for their sink to wash dishes. And trashes for the bathrooms.
Also had to pull the cushy floor mat in the bathroom back in order to shut or open the door. And the bathroom lights kept flickering might need a bulb change.
And no they do not have WiFi as the listing already states but they do have Wiis to play, Board games, Croquet, DVDs and basic cable.
If they get better cleaning practices all and all it was a nice cabin that I would recommend for an unplug weekend this winter IF the cleaning changed.
Ps Went to the lake it is a short little walk and got a LOT of cool rocks! 🪨😎

No A/C unit was a disappointment but it was noted in description so can’t complain about that , location was good , not far from dollar general and boat ramp , description had said there was a dock to use but wasn’t up yet when we got there. But with 1 phone call to contact listed , they had the dock in the water the next day which was appreciated. All in all cabin had plenty of sleeping space , kitchen and table was also very roomy. We would consider staying in same place again in future , thanks

Clean and comfortable place to stay. Would have given it 5 stars except a light wa out in the bathroom and by the side door making it hard to see the lock box code in the dark. Also, the coffee maker took forever to make a pot of coffee. Would recommend this place to stay.

My husband and I decided to forego camping and taking a long weekend to simply relax. We found this cabin in an area I spent a lot of time as a child. The area is mostly water activities or a drive to Hartwick Pines for hiking and a wonderful history of Michigan logging.
The cabin was clean, roomy and has a full kitchen. There is a musty smell that I think the use of a dehumidifier could reduce or eliminate. Didn't notice A/C but we didn't need it. We did use the heat one night and it was fine.
There is a small fenced area directly behind the house. Also a large side yard with a fire pit. The owner has several outdoor chairs and tables. It's a short walk to a boat dock but a small drive to a beach.
The cabin is in a small quiet but very nice neighborhood.
We would definitely return if the opportunity arises.
