Indigo Seaside Experience

We spent a wonderful week here, and we would happily stay here again. From the very beginning, the host was incredibly kind and patient. Our apartment (Room 1) was beautiful, very clean and tastefully decorated. There are no cooking facilities, but there is a mini fridge, coffee facilities, plates and basic cutlery, which was perfectly adequate for us. And the view was absolutely beautiful. Sitting there or in the restaurant, looking out over the sea, especially around sunset, was one of the highlights of our stay. The sunsets were simply stunning. The only small downside for us was that the mattresses were quite firm, although of course this is very much a matter of personal preference. The apartment was cleaned once during our one-week stay, which was fine as everything was spotless when we arrived. What really makes the place special, however, is the hospitality. The staff were lovely and the host in particular went out of his way to help us with everything we needed – arranging taxis, recommending restaurants and quickly dealing with anything that came up during our stay. I have to eat gluten-free, and I was especially impressed by how well they looked after me. They even went out and bought gluten-free bread and pasta so that I could enjoy breakfast and other meals. That kind of thoughtfulness means a lot when travelling with dietary restrictions. We have to mention the Indigo Seaside Restaurant. We ate there almost every day and tried many different dishes from the menu. Everything was delicious. We also ate at several restaurants in Rethymnon during our holiday, but honestly, some of the best food we had was right here at Indigo. My niece particularly recommends the burger! Another great bonus is that sunbeds, AC and tourist taxes are included when you stay here. Overall, this was a fantastic stay: a beautiful location, wonderful sea views and sunsets, excellent food and, above all, genuinely warm and helpful people. We would highly recommend!

Everything was perfect

The location is excellent, on the edge of the resort making it quieter and more authentically Cretan. The views from the property are beautiful! We loved to watch the sunset from our balcony it was stunning! The owners couldn’t do enough for you, they were friendly without being pushy and made us feel both special and appreciated. The food at Indigo was the best we had while holidaying in this resort so much so that we stopped eating anywhere else as it didn’t come close in taste, ambiance or service.

Nothing not to like! From a female perspective I would have liked a chest of drawers for some of my non hanging clothes but it didn’t stop the apartment being great.
