River View Glamping

We had such a wonderful stay! The river was beautiful, and our cozy family tent felt just perfect. The kitchen and sitting room were great, everything was set up so thoughtfully, and the hot tub was clean, hot, and relaxing. Our kids had so much fun having BBQs and enjoyed so many new experiences. The supermarket is only a 10-minute drive away, which was very convenient. We are very thankful to our lovely hosts for creating such a unique and unforgettable place. We will definitely be visiting again!

Everything was amazing

We have just returned from the most amazing weekend at river view glamping. It is a truly special place and we made some of the most incredible wholesome family memories!! Pete and Ellie could not have done more to make our stay a success! We arrived very late into the evening but Pete showed us around the site and helped whilst we carried our sleeping children into our tent. Our 4 and 2 yr olds loved feeding the chickens and sheep each morning. They picked apples and pears from the orchard and played in the river for hours! We loved chilling our beers in the river and even managed to make jelly and angel delight set in the river! We cannot wait to rebook again for next year!

As the site is off the grid it would be good to have more natural light in the kitchen so we don't have to turn the generator on and running water in the kitchen to wash hands and dishes would be superb too!

The hosts were incredible; friendly, accommodating and really alleviated any initial anxieties I had as a city dweller entirely new to camping. This wasnt camping though - this was glamping! The whole experience was magical - it’s the only real word I can use to describe it. Sleeping near the stream, listening to the water trickle and the animals at night. I usually struggle to sleep but slept like a baby. We saw stars in the sky, fish in the stream and spent hours by our own campfire overlooking the stream toasting marshmallows. The children didn’t use any electronics and they was no complaints whatsoever. They both loved feeding the animals with Pete in the morning, skipped rocks in the stream, played pool with their new friends and chilled out in the hot tub. We had spent a bomb taking the kids to a 5 star all singing all dancing all inclusive at the beginning of the summer holidays and the children said they would choose going back to Pete’s glamping over that every time. Location is perfect, very rural close enough to great attractions without being so close to blur the off grid experience. Local village 10 mins drive away with everything you would want. We went horse trekking in the Brecon Beacons (around 40 mins drive), water sports with kids on the lakes - canoe / kayak / paddle board - (around 45 mins drive) and explored the caves at the national showcases (40 mins drive). I wasn’t sure what we would need so I brought everything and the kitchen sink but nothing got used as everything we could need was there. Washing lines. Shoe racks and mats outside the tents. Fire pits. Cooking equipment including plates / cups / cutlery. Even eco friendly shower gel is provided. We will be back for sure and gutted to be back in London.

Beware - the campsite is only currently operational over the summer holidays and so if you blink you will miss your chance to experience this. Would be absolutely fabulous if there was a way to get wood burner heating in the tents to allow for stays in the spring and early autumn.
