Vavilon

Small hotel managed by a nice and friendly local family. Comfortable room with a good-quality mattress, bed linen, and towels. Within walking distance of sightseeing spots, restaurants, cafés, and some trails. They also serve delicious breakfast with good variety of food: eggs, sausage, porridge, vegetables, fruits, bread, etc.

It's run by a very lovely lady. They let us park our car while we did the Ala Kul trek. It's the perfect base after 3 days of hiking as it's so clean, comfortable and had everything you need. They also offer laundry services

Clean, spacious, cold AC and hot water!

We stayed at Vavilon in Karakol for three nights and it was such a refreshing stay. After a few more "rugged" places throughout the stans, this place was modern, recently updated and very much up to western standards. It was spotlessly clean, the owners were friendly and provided any needed items and we were very comfortable here. It's probably a 30 minute walk from the true center of town and a 15 minute walk from a more major street with restaurants and a Globus grocery store. There's a corner shop on the next corner that wasn't too bad in a pinch. It was nice to have a fridge and there is parking if you have a car. I'm not sure what else to say about this place but everything was great and probably the nicest place we stayed in Kyrgystan. Would recommend.
