The property is located at the residential area which is about 5 minutes drive to the town centre. There is a mini supermarket about 10 minutes walk. The property entrance is gated. The owner lives.within the studio apartment compounds. They speak and writes English well and that is a plus point. The responses from booking.com messaging is not that very encouraging though including on WhatsApp. The owner doesn't reply when you needed important response. They provide laundry and dryer service for 500 KGS. The room is decent enough but we have stayed at better studio apartments during this trip.

The toilet bowl space is very small and squeezy and there is no bidet provided. The sink area is equally the same, it is difficult to move your hands as you need to tuck your hands close to your body when you wash your hands. The laundry experience was bad. We sent the laundry about 4pm and was told that it will be delivered to the room. At around 7.30pm, it was still not delivered. I had to go over to their house to check on it. Apparently the owner was not there. Spoke to her mother in law and she knew nothing about any laundry and couldn't speak English. She brought me to the laundry room and the laundry is all washed but was not transfered to the dryer. I texted the owner and requested that the laundry is sent early that night as we need to pack up for an early morning drive out. She didn't reply the message. About 8.30pm, I had to go over to the laundry room. Her mother in law was there and she took out my laundry but it was still damp. She said, to give it another 1/2 hour run. I went over again to the laundry room at 9.30pm and I saw the dryer is still running and it showed 1.12 on the timer. I was clueless what was going on. I texted the owner again to confirm with her, that the dryer is running my laundry for another 1.12 hours. It was already 9.45pm. Again the message was not replied. I texted to say that we are going to sleep and hope to collect the laundry at 7.00am the next morning. Suddenly, when we were on our beds, there was a knock on the door, and her husband was there to deliver our laundry. The whole entire laundry experience was bad, there were no replies and accountability of guests service and experience. We were left in the dark. The toilet bowl and the sink is a sore thumb.

I just had to leave a review because we had such an amazing stay. Honestly, one of the best guest houses I’ve booked for such an affordable price. The chalet was spacious, super clean (especially the bathroom!), and had everything we needed, including tv, a fridge, microwave, kettle, utensils, sofa, and dining table. It felt like a cozy little apartment! We also loved the homey outdoor area, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Such a hidden gem in Karakol! Highly recommended
