Cadamore

Its the perfect base for a trip to Venice, being close to railway and bus stations (no lugging suitcases over loads of bridges). It is 'compact and bijou' so is primarily a base.... turn right out of the front door and you have a calm spot next to the canals where you can sit on the waters edge without the crowds. Turn left out of the front door and head off into the madness of Venice (and in July it is mad). The bars nearby are great and Quebrada in particular offers amazing value for food and drink. The hosts were accommodating and kind to us. Small point.... the information about how drinkable the tap water is saved us a fortune.

Air conditioning was a bit lame (but didnt cause a problem). Maybe a bit more info about the city.

Awesome vintage apartments close to a train station. Hosts were helpful and provided some nice tips on nearby restaurants and places to visit.

The apartment was within walking distance from the train station +-10min Nice neighbourhood with a pubs and restaurants on our door step, where locals met. This gave the area a nice lively vibe. Water taxis were very close, which made travel around the city easy. Lots to see if you walk around the neighbourhood. Apartment was sufficient for selfcatering, with ample space for up to four people.

The apartment was very cold, especially at night.

Cada more is a tiny and cosy apartment that is reasonably well equipped, has good heating (hence good for the cooler months), and is very clean. Also it is not too far from the train station. So not too bad for a short stay.

The property is located on a high transit passage with people walking, smoking and chatting literally centimetres from the windows, and at night you can hear random loud screaming from crazy people outside,also leaving glasses on the windows. So basically opening the window is not a good idea. Additionally the people living directly above seems to be quite active and you can hear them walking and moving furniture well into the night. So these issues may prevent from having a good night sleep.
