Find Serenity in a historic Swiss village nestled between turquoise Lake Brienz and majestic mountains. Brienz Villa on Alpgasse is a stylish home with truly breathtaking views and is ideal for family gatherings. The private patio with outdoor fireplace and covered dining area is a place you will want to linger; it's not just a place to sleep, but a home to truly enjoy. It is a 5 min walk to swimming spots, grocery store, and lakeside restaurants, and 12 min to the ferry/train station. Four bedrooms upstairs sleep 8 persons. Treat yourself to the luxury of a relaxing vacation and discover the Bernese Oberland from here!
The Villa has 2 units -you rent the main levels of this beautiful home, with four bedrooms upstairs that sleep 8 persons. A lower apartment, with a separate entrance/patio, is also rented on VRBO and can sleep up to 4 more (or inquire to rent the whole villa.)
Parking for up to 3 cars, outdoor garden table and corner bench, fireplaces outside and in the living room, well-equipped kitchen, separate dining room with lake views, spacious sofa area with TV, large bedrooms, home office desk, washer/dryer, fast wifi, kayak, and grill. Feel a warm welcome from this family-owned vacation home and be assured of the family-oriented treatment of our staff.
All the furnishings are new, allergy friendly and of good quality. For your privacy, there are curtains and shutters in all rooms. On the ground floor is the spacious entrance area, guest bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and large living room with fireplace. The kitchen is well-equipped (including microwave, raclette, fondue, rice cooker, kettle, Nespresso machine, milk foamer). From the kitchen and living room you have direct access to the large private patio with a beautiful view of Lake Brienz and surrounding mountains! Enjoy the 2 sun loungers, as well as the covered seating area and the outdoor fireplace. The 4 bedrooms are on the upper floor. 1 bathroom with shower, toilet and sink is accessible to all. 1 room has its own bathroom with corner bath, shower, toilet and 2 washbasins. 3 bedrooms have a balcony with a view of the lake and mountains. On request we provide a baby bed for toddlers up to 3 years old and a high chair. It fits in every room.
The washing machine and dryer are in the basement and is shared with the guests of the lower apartment.
This rental listing is the main living area (first and second floors) of a large private home. There is also an apartment located on the lower/ground level of the home, which is rented separately. That apartment has its own private entrance and garden terrace, so each unit retains comfortable privacy. If you would like to rent the entire villa, inquire for availability.
There is a surveillance video camera outside the house, for your safety and for the protection of the house.
Stroll through the charming village to view the artisan wood-carvings and historic chalets, or explore the outskirts and enjoy spectacular lake and mountain views. It is a 5 minute walk to charming Brunngasse, Migros, and the pedestrian friendly lakeshore promenade where one can go for a refreshing swim. The Coop, train station, ferry stop, and historic steam train Brienzer Rothornbahn are a 12 minute walk away. Enjoy beautiful hiking directly from the house, or take a short drive to Brienz's outdoor Ballenberg museum. Or take a historic Lake Brienz ferry to Iseltwald ( greetings to CLOY fans) or Giessbach Falls. Find all sorts of watersport around the lake. Drive the scenic route along the lake to Interlaken for shopping, spa, skydive, golf, horse riding and much more. Visit other towns or go skiing to Grindelwald, Hasliberg orAxalp. There is simply too much to do to list everything!

The house was very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. The beds were very comfortable. I would stay at this house again. Excellent. The host's communication was excellent.

We loved everything about this home! The views were amazing! The location is super convenient - a short walk down the hill to the water, close to grocery stores, and one train station was an easy 10 minute walk.
They also had things you need for little ones. There were two high chairs, a pack-n-play, kids dishes/eating utensils, and toys.
There is plenty of seating, indoors and out. We would definitely stay there again, if we're lucky enough to make a return trip to Switzerland.

This home was very comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy 5 days in Switzerland. Beautiful views of the mountains, waterfall, and Lake Brienz. Easy access by car to Interlaken, Luzern, Bern, the Jungfraujoch, and the Ballenberg Museum. We’d love to come back when the sun is shining because I’m sure the view from the home would be even more spectacular. We did not have a chance to meet the Owner Andreas, or his sister Jacqueline, but no matter what time of the day we had a question one of them would respond almost immediately. They left us snacks, as well as coffee and tea, for our arrival which was very nice and appreciated. The beds were very comfortable too!! We would definitely love to visit their home again in the future. Thank you for sharing it with us.

The house was very beautiful with gorgeous views, very well equipped, and clean. It’s close to the lake and there are nearby facilities such as the supermarket. Jacqueline the property manager who expected us at the location was very kind and hospitable, she provided us with everything we needed and was very helpful and caring. The neighborhood is peaceful and very suitable for families. Would definitely recommend this place to others.
