The Old Post Office - Giggleswick

The comms from the owner were absolutely spot on, we couldn't fault that.. The location was lovely, opposite a beautiful church and a pub within walking distance. The accommodation was quaint and had lots of lovely features. It was clean and tidy, with plenty of lounge space. The rooms were a decent size and had adequate storage for clothes and belongings. Outdoor area was good, nice and private. Ideal for the 3 Peaks challenge and great to come back to afterwards!

The property could do with another bathroom, or toilet as it sleeps 6. However, that is a "nice to have" and t his wouldn't stop us from booking again. Great value for money.

The Old Post Office is in a perfect location. It is on a quiet street in Giggleswick and only a short walk away from Settle. The cottage is full of character, clean and very comfortable. It has everything you need.

Brilliant location not far from the three peaks. Pub opposite really quiet and cosy. The beds were lovely and comfortable with really crisp clean linen.Everything you needed dishwasher etc

Property was fairly clean. Good kitchen facilities. Heating worked well in most rooms. Central location.

No parking on arrival - didn't realise Giggleswick school was chucking out for the weekend. Poor maintenance: shower door handle, sofa throws feel like they need a good wash, matted cushion covers, curtains in lounge not pulling easily. A lack of the usual extra little things you can find in holiday cottages: no matches for birthday candles, no foil to protect cooker, no games - not even a pack of cards. The stairs are dangerous! Something should be done: not only super-steep, but uneven, the handrail is too high and at head height at one point, nothing to stop you falling into the kitchen. I would not have wanted to stay there with children or older people.
