Our second stay here and once again we had a great time!
Great amenities - Good shower, big bed, comfy sofa and a good range of cooking equipment.
Great location - close to Settle, opposite the pub and great walks nearby.
Nothing- except a few spiders in the bathroom 🕷

We originally booked this accommodation for our team while they were working in the local area, aiming to save them the hassle of a long commute after their shifts.
The team was very happy with their stay; the house was exactly what they needed. We especially appreciated how helpful and accommodating our host was, particularly when we needed to extend our dates at the last minute.
The location and the house are both lovely, and we can highly recommend staying here.
Best regards,

Property was fairly clean. Good kitchen facilities. Heating worked well in most rooms. Central location.
No parking on arrival - didn't realise Giggleswick school was chucking out for the weekend.
Poor maintenance: shower door handle, sofa throws feel like they need a good wash, matted cushion covers, curtains in lounge not pulling easily.
A lack of the usual extra little things you can find in holiday cottages: no matches for birthday candles, no foil to protect cooker, no games - not even a pack of cards.
The stairs are dangerous! Something should be done: not only super-steep, but uneven, the handrail is too high and at head height at one point, nothing to stop you falling into the kitchen. I would not have wanted to stay there with children or older people.

Great location, bedrooms lovely and spacious
Living room floor sticky from previous drink had to clean.
Toilet seat wonky

Location was perfect, very conveniently located near a wonderful, friendly pub. Lovely village.
Unfortunately there had been a mix up between owner and booking.com so the house was not prepared for our visit, and when we entered the property, it had not been cleaned, beds not changed, rubbish in bins etc. We had to go to pub and wait till nearly 9pm before we could come back and prepare a meal etc. However, the owner came over as soon as he could, and sorted it and we really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful cottage, and he made sure we would be compensated, so we were happy with the way the problem was sorted. I would definitely book the cottage again.

The property was well sited, close to the countryside and a couple of nice pubs and a short walk from the town of Settle. It was very warm, quiet and clean and whilst very simply furnished there were three good sized double bedrooms. I felt it was good value for money.
Bathroom fixtures and fittings could do with a refresh (wonky toilet seat for example) but didn't affect my view of the property.

The old post office was welcoming, charming and comfortable with a great location to explore the Yorkshire Dales from. We also loved the little outdoor seating area. Wish we had had more time in Giggleswick.

Really furnished cottage in a wonderful location. Walking distance from Settle, with a good number of restaurants and shops and a lot of nice walking.
The house it does have everything you need for your holiday. Other people complained for the parking but, there was a free parking just 2 minutes from the house.
WiFi works just downstairs. Almost impossible to connect from the bedroom and it often needs a restart. The stairs are a little bit steep, such is understandable being an old building, but maybe needs a railing on the side. It is slightly dangerous especially if you have little kids you need to be extra cautious.

Super little house, well equipped, lovely place in a quant village with settle a two minute drive.
Parking was an issue, but that was the only .minor point.

Location was great and the house had everything you needed.
We didn't go away to spend time using wi-fi or watching tv. However, in the evenings, we did use the Internet to book tables/trip's but the wi-fi kept dropping out. Not a major issue, but it's worth the host knowing as it might be to someone else.

Excellent location - we used it as a base for the Yorkshire Three Peaks and a couple of day-trips - with a good pub opposite and another round the corner.
There was plenty of room for the four of us (two couples) in the house; the neighbours were friendly; and we had no problems parking (despite being a little anxious, after other reviews).
It was really excellent value for money!
The stairs are steep, but we adjusted quickly.
A little wear and tear was showing in a couple of places (loose toilet seat and shower handle, a couple of cracked wine glasses), but am sure they will get picked up imminently, and didn't cause us any issues.

The location was fantastic—just a few minutes’ walk from Settle train station and close to local restaurants. Taxi services were also easily available. The house had plenty of space for our group of six, and the rear garden with a BBQ was a perfect addition for relaxing evenings. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the water pressure in the showers was excellent. We also felt the price was very reasonable for what was offered. A big plus was the host allowing us an early check-in, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free.
It’s not a major issue, but the property is a little bit dated. However, it didn’t affect our stay and everything was clean and functional.

First of all, the location was excellent and was exactly what we hoped for as we booked this to walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks. It was only a 10 minute drive to Horton-in-Ribblesdale where the route begins.
The bedrooms were well sized and we really appreciated the option to separate the king-size beds into 2 single beds.
Kitchen facilities were excellent and we had no problems cooking dinner. The patio area was a bonus for us to be able to sit and enjoy the sun.
The only problem we had was the WiFi ended up being a bit spotty and kept disconnecting.
Some bathroom fixtures were a bit loose and the headboard of one of the beds was broken.
Stairs are steep but to be expected in an older building.

Fully of character and well fitted.
The person cleaning needs better supervision. Coffee stains on coffee tables in the lounge and on the floor tiles. Previous guests shoes in the cupboards

This lovely cottage really is a cut above! Nice and clean and very comfortable, little touches like nice coffee and cutlery etc go a long way. We all agreed that a return trip is certain ❤️

Lovely large living room with plenty of comfortable seats, bedrooms were a great size, beds were comfy, and blackout blinds with curtains worked a treat at keeping light out for a deep sleep.
The kitchen is modern and has everything you need to make a meal. The dishwasher was easy to use.
The outside courtyard area would be lovely if you stayed in warmer weather.
The area is quiet and close enough for nice walks or a quick drive to shops, etc. Parking nearby was very useful.
The stairs are pretty steep, narrow, and low ceiling height in areas, so took a little getting used to. A downstairs loo would be an excellent bonus but doesn't take away from what is an already great property and quirky stay.

Liked having 3 bedrooms and all beds were really comfortable. Property was cosy and we even managed to have breakfast in the courtyard in March 🤣
The stairs are steep but we were prepared for that in advance.

Very comfortable beds.
Great location for what we wanted to do.
Only issue is that there no parking at the property and very little parking off street parking nearby. Had to find parking on another street 5 mins walk away.

Amazing location with the pub across the street. We did the 3 peaks challenge, which was only a 10 minute drive away.
The multiple dangly lights in the living room didn’t really seem In keeping with the rest of the house. The outdoor light doesn’t seem to work, unless we couldn’t find the right switch *living room labelled outdoor light.

Excellent property. Loved it.
Very clean, very comfy, well provided, great beds.
Amazing location.
Only drawback was personal - it's amazing what you don't think about needing. The sofas and armchairs are comfy - but very low; the stairs are very steep - I forgot how restricted I am - I've got used to our stairs and haven't really thought about needing higher seats and easier stairs. Definitely want to go again... But probably AFTER my knee op!

Super location, less than 20 mins walk from Settle train station, easy on street parking and a really great pub just opposite. 3 decent sized bedrooms with all the facilities that we needed. Cosy house nicely decorated.
Be careful of steep stairs- not a negative but something to be aware of.

Location was superb. Accommodation was lovely with the quaintness of a cottage but modern facilities that cater for everything. Also the pub directly over the road serves some of the best pub food we have ever had!
Lack of parking is the only issue and whether you are lucky enough to find a space on the street. Owner could maybe advise customers of nearest car park (if there is one) so if they aren’t able to park on the street they know where to go.

Loved this cottage! Very clean, modern but with tradition also there. A information folder which had everything you would need to know, from how to work appliances to takeaways to things to do, very organised which was very helpful. Communication was very good and quick to reply. Great location had loads to do. Would definitely re visit in the future.
Only thing about the property would be an extra banister on the stairs, as I have a severely autistic child who’s balance isn’t great. So was worried on the stairs for her. But would not put me off revisiting, we loved the place!

Everything! Was like home from home. Perfect accommodation for our Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
Nothing. Cannot fault!

The beds were comfy and the place was clean I would come back has we have family close by and they can visit
I would have liked the staircase to have a banister on the left side were it is open just for safety also my friend could have got up the steps better with two rails

Really cosy and lovely place to stay, spacious living room and fully furnished kitchen. Communication and guidance from the host was excellent and everything was in good condition. Great location for getting into the Dales and this would make a perfect place for a small group to have as a base before going out for most of the day.
Apart from the living room the whole place is a bit tight for the advertised six people, only one toilet, and the door lock was very stiff.

Lovely quirky cottage
All requirements catered for .
The toilet broke while we were there but assistance came promptly

The cottage is lovely, the TV and the heating were great in the terrible weather we had! Plenty of tea/coffee/sugar/loo roll 😀
The rattan furniture in the yard was very dated and sagged in the middle so unable to sit upright for long. The furniture in the lounge very low, so people with knee issues will find it difficult to stand up. The stairs are very steep with only 1 handrail which I found a challenge never mind my 85yr old mum, and no hand rail at the top, so the last step up mum had to balance to get up. No door from bedrooms to the top of the stairs, was in fear of falling down in the night. Couldn't lock the kitchen door, and when I mentioned this, was told I had to lift up the door as well as the handle.

Stairs could be challenging but we were fine

Lovely place in the center of Giggleswick.
The property was clean and well stocked and had everything we needed including tea, coffee and those little pots of UHT milk so it was possible to have a brew before the obligatory Booths shop!
There was a well put together information book that gave instructions on how to use the cottage (heating/oven etc) and also had information on local pubs, restaurants and takeaways.
