A couple of minutes walk takes you directly into Ambleside town where you can join a walking trail or simply just shop or dine.
Only 1 but it’s hardly a negative

Great location with five minutes walk downhill to the town.
Very peaceful with lovely views.
Fully equipped with everything you might need.
Very comfortable accommodation
Extremely dirty dishwasher filter which obviously hadn't been checked before our arrival.
We did a thorough clean of the dishwasher filter after getting poor dish cleaning results.

This was our 2nd stay at the cottage and once again we really enjoyed it. The cottage is very comfortable, well appointed with all the mod-cons required and ideally located within Ambleside. The bedrooms are a decent size with very comfortable beds.
Very minor issue but we had trouble getting a fire going in the wood burner in the kitchen. Although this is mainly due to our lack of fire making skills rather than the wood itself.

Beds were exceptionally comfortable. Cottage was lovely and cosy. Loved the wood stove. Very well equipped.
From the description of the properly we were expecting two bathrooms but one was just a shower room. Advertising two bathrooms was misleading.
Check out was 10am. We were on a family weekend break and it would have been nice to enjoy a leisurely brunch on Sunday.

Well equipped and appointed. All facilities available. Comfortable beds. Great views of Ambleside but comes at the cost of being higher up on the hill. So best with a car!
TV had some problems, ie needing passwords.

The cottage was well furnished and very comfortable. The bedrooms were good sized and the beds were very comfortable. The cottage had a nice rustic but also modern feel and we really enjoyed our stay.
3 of us stayed there and there was plenty of room for us in the cottage.
Excellent location in the centre of Ambleside with a very short walk down into the town. Designated parking spot right outside the cottage.
Excellent communication and messages from our hosts prior to our visit.
We liked everything really, it was a brilliant place to stay. Some coat hooks or somewhere to hang out coats downstairs would have been good.

We loved this cottage, it was very comfortable, clean and a great place to relax and cook with family. The views from this place are fabulous and you can walk into the centre from here.
The only thing is it is up a very steep hill so not great for someone with mobility problems

The location was wonderful for the town centre - the house was warm and spacious and had all that we required
the walk back to the house from the town was up steep steps - best to take a taxi - parking for 2nd car an issue if you use both cars every day

Great location, exceptionally clean and comfortable!
