Excellent location and good layout with two lounges and good space downstairs.
Damp in both top floor bedrooms and bathroom sink leaking and shower not draining well.
We tried to access the back with a VW Golf and found it would be impossible to get in and out of the space. It shouldn’t state this is accessible unless a bike.

The location was fantastic , only a few minutes walk into the HEART of the town.
The house was very SPACIOUS and bedroom well equipped and comfortable.
We would definitely consider coming to this property again.
We liked everything about the house!

The location
Could have been cleaner, clumps of Black dog hair on the floors in some of the rooms.

Location was perfect, and that's about it to be honest. The house is big but very impractical.
Where do I start?
Property wasn't cleaned well, there was a lot of dust under the sofas and tv stand.
The house smelled bad when we entered.
No garden or bbq facilities. The outside space at the back is used for parking. We wanted to sit in the garden after a day of walks but that was impossible.
No tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, spices, herbs, nothing! In these sort of properties it is a standard now to get a welcome basket with bread, eggs, milk etc, plus kitchen has got everything to cook with. This wasn't the case and we were disappointed.
A long list of requirements of how to leave the property (empty dishwasher, no rubbish, sheets off etc.) was sent to us after we booked it and it was a non-refundable booking. It should be available beforehand.
The property is narrow but has got 4 stories, way too many stairs for our liking.
The decor is soulless, the owners don't seem to care about this at all.
It can accommodate 8 people, but I wouldn't recommend staying there with more than 5. Living room can only accommodate 5.
One parking permit was not a problem for us, but if you come with two cars, you will need to pay for parking.
Overall, it is not worth paying £1400 for 4 nights. They can definitely afford a cleaner, but expect you to do half of the work before departure.

Perfect location, lovely aspect and all parts of the house, in great proportions. 4 excellent sized bedrooms for up to 8. We had 5 and it was ace for us all
2 x parking permits would have been amazing, but one got us by!

The layout worked really week for us as a family of 7 adults we all loved the downstairs kitchen area so much so Iwant to replicate at home husband says thank you 😝

The property was cosy, clean and well equipped. It's in good location, next to shops and restaurants and 20 mins walk to the lake. Local guides, books and board games are a great addition.
The property owner was not responsive; we sent a couple messages but they never replied back. The house was warm in general, but at night it was getting a bit cold and we did not figure out how to configure the thermostat. 10am check out time is a bit tight, especially when you need to fulfil all requests (dishes, bed linen etc).

Well presented; tasteful decor, clean, comfortable, warm, well equipped, nice quality finish.
I would prefer parking to be provided for all visiting cars because local car parks are expensive. Would suggest 3pm arrival & 11am departure. When using the dishwasher in the morning after catering for a family of 7 for breakfast, it’s impossible to load, wash & empty it before leaving the property at 10am, as is requested!
