The perfect location for visiting Basel, especially if driving.

We only stayed for one night as a stopover on our return to the UK, but we really enjoyed our stay. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped. It was important for us to be able to securely park the car, which we were able to do here. The host couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming, and gave us lots of information about how to get to the city. The location is excellent as it’s only a short walk to the tram stop and then it’s really easy to get to the city. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Appartement 3 lys, especially if you are driving.

One night in a beautifully appointed apartment in a garden paradise.

Karine & Gillis’ place was immaculate, including the outdoor space. The included off street parking spot was a bonus. The interior is well appointed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was perfect for the 2 of us, and can easily accommodate 4. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need for preparing a meal. There was a small microwave oven to heat things up. Karine provided ample supplies for morning coffee and/or tea. Karine and Gillis live above the apartment and were very responsive to a minor electrical issue that arose and quickly resolved things, being extremely attentive and apologetic for any inconvenience.

The only thing I can think of is the second sleeping area appears to be a converted living room with only a sofa separating it from the dining area. Not an issue for us, but if all members of your group don’t go to bed at the same time may be an issue.

Hosr was great and apartment was huge and well equipped. Loved it!

Hard to find. Google maps takes you to 1B, Then there is 1A nearby. Finally found it (just 1) on the next block. Check in instructions should be more clear.

Incredibly peaceful and nice apartment for a much better price than Basel hotels!

A quiet, air-conditioned, well-equipped private apartment a short ways outside Basel - and that for half the price of a hotel room in the city. Really amazing. The air conditioning in the sleeping rooms was great on a hot day, the exterior shutters ensured privacy and total darkness for sleeping, the bathroom was clean and well-stocked. The hostess greeted us personally and was very helpful (in 3 languages!). If I'm ever back in the area, I will look to book here first!

If I'm being very picky: the shower is open-ended and therefore very hard to keep water off the floor. This seems to be the popular style here, however, and it wasn't really a hindrance for us.

A well-furnished appartment for a stay in

The apartment is in a perfect location to discover Basel. The host is very nice and helped us with parking on the private parking space and giving us the keys. The apartment was very well-furnished but we only stayed here for one night. There is a garden that is available to use. The house was quiet and had roller shutters so no issues to sleep at night. For us it was the perfect stay for 1 night!

If we are nitpicking the scented fabric softener on the bedding threw is off a bit, but it's a personal preference. No other issues for us!

Comfortable home

Air-conditioning in both rooms, it makes a huge difference in summer time. Very nice location near the Swiss, German, and French border. Can walk to some very good restaurants.

I feel the bed in the living room is too soft. But it’s a personal thing.

Exceptionally clean, big and good equiped apartment with air conditioner in both rooms. It is located within 5 minutes away from bus stop to Basel in the calm and quiet neighborhood with nice backyard that can be used. The host is helpful and kind. We had a pleasure stay which has exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend the apartment.

this is one of the best place, i have ever stayed. The interior of the house is a very good blend of antiques and technology. There is a cherry tree, sun loungers and a beautiful area in the garden. location is also so nice. 5-6 minutes walking distance to swiss border.

Excellent all around!

The host, Karine, is excellent. We were leaving the next morning to catch a flight and she made sure to call a cab the night before. It's a little tricky to find the address, but she got up at 6AM to guide the cab to pick us up. Apartment is very clean, up to date, and actually close to a wonderful French bakery a block away. Very comfortable for a family of four. Highly recommend!

Magnificent

Our stay in Saint-Louis was absolutely delightful. The house was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need – it truly lacked nothing. The rooms, beds, and bathroom were all impeccably clean and it was evident that a lot of thought had gone into ensuring our comfort. A special mention must go to Karine, who greeted us upon arrival. She was incredibly kind and made us feel very welcome. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations.

Everything was wonderful! It was like a hotel. And it's the best hotel ever. The host was gentle and very kind. The children were able to play with many toys in the garden. I ate figs in the garden on the spot. It was a very valuable experience. The room, bed and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, so I was able to relieve my fatigue from the trip. I would like to visit here again.

You might want to take insect repellents with you to play in the garden.

The apartment is fully equipped, kid’s friendly (we stay with our 4.5 and 2 year’s old kids) the host are very friendly and helpful, we stayed in there Apartment for one night but we will stay again for sure if we will be in the area! 10/10 in our rate!

A brilliant place to stay!

Extremely well appointed and clean with a delightful hostess who really went the extra mile when we had a problem with our car. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Very convenient for Basel and will definitely re visit if in the area.

Nice, clean, good value. Pleasant host. Somewhat off the typical location for a rental.

Host, Karine, was very helpful, met us to check early, arranged a taxi for us in the morning, gave us suggestion for dinner, she was a nice lady willing to help whenever we needed help. Good Internet connection. While the host and her facility were very nice, the location is in a residential neighborhood that has limited things to do and places to eat. Which was fine for us as it was close to the Viking River Boat Dock (20 Euro taxi ride). I was also able to return a rental car we used for a week before the Viking Cruise to the Basel Airport in about 10 minutes. A Viking representative advised me to take the bus from the airport to the Saint-Louis train center and then take the local bus to a stop a 2 minute walk to the apartment. The cost of that was 3.70 Euro while the taxi cost would have been 50 Euro (yes 50!) as the taxi charges a 45 Euro fee to leave the airport plus then the mileage to the destination. If you are going to be in Basel for a Viking Cruise this is a good choice for the night before

The address given will not get you to this facility if you use Google Maps. She states she is at 1 Rue de Verdun but Google will take you about 100 meters further down the street toward the dead end. The facility is adjacent to the commercial building on that street. I would suggest that she figure out how to get her address to match up with Google Maps. Even the next morning the Taxi driver went to the address down the street and I had to walk down the street to get his attention to pick us up at the apartment.

Like our home, cozy and fully equiped. Great communication with the owner. Instantly added a baby crib. Would love to stay there again.

Mosquitoes in garden :( Would like to spend more time in the garden but unluckily the rain was just stoped I guess it caused the mosquitoes to attack us :) But there were mosquito repellent in the house so no problem at the night.
