Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kagoshima Tenmonkan PREMIER - former Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kagoshima Tenmonkan

The hotel has a very central location, within walking distance of the shopping area and the ferry terminal for ferries to Sakurajima, the aquarium, and other attractions. Sengan-en is just a short taxi ride away. The breakfast was as expected at Japanese hotels, but it does not meet the expectations of Scandinavian tourists. It is a mystery why Japanese hotels seem to serve scrambled eggs that resemble soup and bacon that appears to have been boiled. Great views from the breakfast room.

I did not like that the hotel expected guests to hang a sign on the door before 10:00 a.m. if they wanted the room cleaned and the rubbish removed. This information is written in very small print on the magnetic sign. I put the sign up when I left the room a few minutes after 10:00, after breakfast. When I returned, the room had not been cleaned and the rubbish bins were still full. When I raised this with reception, there was no apparent understanding, and I got the impression that because I had been too late, the same thing would happen the following day as well. However, the room was eventually cleaned, and when we returned in the afternoon, it was spotless. Nevertheless, the level of service from the staff did not meet the standard I have come to expect in Japan.

The location is very central, nice staff and facilities. They had a lot of small extras like hair oil or relaxation patches which was a nice addition. The massage chair was also a nice touch.

We had a room with the "view of Kagoshima". It was more of a side view where you really had to go to the edge of the window to see anything. I don't think it was worth paying extra for.

Great location and excellent value for money Good room and excellent bathroom

Check in. You had to go to a desk who took your passport and gave you a card which you then had to check in at a machine to get your keys.

Fast and clear checkin 👌 The acces is insanely easy, if you came with the bus from the airport, you have the bus station just in front of the hotel (to arrived and to go, same place) Very good for 3 people and 3 keys given, when you are just in the city it's soo good 🙏

Everything was good 👌 (The price was slithly more than normal, it was the golden week)
