Halfways

Von außen eher trist, aber drinnen ein Traum! Super kuschelig, heimelig eingerichtetes Stadthaus. Kleine Sitzecke im Garten mit tollem Blick. Ein ganz tolles Willkommenspaket vom Vermieter erhalten. Wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Obwohl Hunde im Haus willkommen sind, nicht ein Haar gesehen. Wirklich ein schnuckeliger Geheimtip!

Die Zufahrt zum Parkplatz ist ein wenig eng und Bedarf ein gutes Auge. Für uns Deutsche noch erschwert, da das Lenkrad auf der "falschen" Seite ist ;) Aber zu bewältigen! Zur Not gibt es auch Stellplätze direkt an der Straße

A cosy, clean and comfortable cottage just outside the town centre of Belper. Each room was decorated to a high standard with lots of lovely homely features. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and there was a hamper waiting for us containing groceries and wine which set us off to a great start. The beds were clean and comfortable with nice lamps and plenty of sockets to charge our phones etc A nice roomy shower was a blessing after long walks around the Derbyshire countryside with plenty of soft clean towels to use as we needed. There's a tastefully designed yard/ patio seating area at the back which over looks an area which beautifully natural. Lots of bird song and activity when we were there. I would recommend The Halfways to couples and small families alike. Its a good base for visiting Matlock, Bakewell and further if you have the time. Ample parking for 2 cars.

The only thing we found tricky was the parking when reversing from the main road into the drive as there was a car parked quite close and it made the angle diffucult but we did manage it each time and we have a SUV.

Of the nine places I stayed during my recent swing through Europe and Britain, this place was special! A beautiful home, well maintained, clean, VERY comfortable, and lots of everything to make going out to buy anything unnecessary--a highly appreciated feature. It provided a cozy spot where I could invite local friends from the area to visit and enjoy refreshments (already provided!). They observed how the place was an excellent option for them to lodge guests and family in future, perhaps for weddings. I was pleased that getting the entry key was sensible, secure, and very easy.

Nothing, really. Went well above my expectations!

Such fantastic facilities - every little thing had been thought about. I had such a wonderful, peaceful stay. Location, walks, comfort, everything is perfect in the beautiful house. Thank you so much Vannessa!
