Beautiful apartment. First class.
Beautiful apartment. Hosts provided everything you needed. Exceptionally clean. Stunning views. Location very good. Lovely fluffy towels provided. Both double and twin rooms comfortable. Lovely to hear and see the steam engine go past. Hosts excellent. A real gem.
Just one thing steep outside concrete stairs to access this apartment. I dont think, only in my view, suitable for very young children or people with mobility issues. However, we managed OK as fairly able body adults but I feel we will choose a ground floor apartment next time. We been coming to Forest of Dean for twenty years but where we had stayed previously had gone down hill so much so we found this place and by far the very best apartment we have stayed in and will 100% book again.

The stables
It was very nice inside ,don't think carpets are a good thing with the stairs and dogs. We were constantly cleaning it and worried about the house,I don't remember being told it was a outside flight of stairs and the garden was down another flight of dangerous stairs ,I think for 4 people it would be perfect but not for dogs as, it was also right on the main Rd again dangerous for the dogs the are in the forest was lovely, dangerous turning up a very steep hill ,and tight car park , you have to pull out onto on coming traffic to get a car in safely from either direction,it's no good for dogs or small children and I won't be recommending to my friends with either dogs or tiny children I think it could be a accident waiting to happen with disabled people like myself and dogs and children I'm disabled and had to stay in the apartment once I was ,,,home,, I appreciate you offered me different accommodation but at a cost which I could not afford ,I hope this review is helpful and you tell people about the garden and upstairs issue ,I feel if a child,or me had fallen on those stone steps this would be a e,mail telling you of a bad bad injury or even worse a death
Stairs were slippery and rail going up was very loose I did not feel safe using them ,windows have no restrictors on them and children or dogs could fall out also a new mattress is needed in the double room

Lovely break in a great apartment
Charming stable block conversion with parking. We stayed in a lovely first floor, well equipped apartment with great views and access to a beautiful shared garden. The hosts kindly left us some milk and treats. The beds were very comfortable.
The property is located up a fairly steep hill on a busy road and if you want to walk into Lydney there's no footpath for the first 50 yards directly from the property.
