Offered us everything we needed to enable an ideal base for meeting up with friends and family in the area.

Excellent location in thoughtfully converted coach-house. Perfect base for a Forest of Dean getaway.
Really well converted upper floor of an historic coach house giving the sense of being in the Forest of Dean but with only a very short walk to all the amenities of Lydney. Communication and key collection was all very easy. Lovely grounds open to guests. Really clean and comfortable. Good kitchen with everything you need to self-cater as well as a range of restaurants and pubs with meals within walking distance, or more gastropubs and fancy places a short drive away. For us, it was a great base to explore the Forest of Dean, Severn and Wye valleys, and lovely to have somewhere cosy to come back to. Ample parking. Great location. Clearly very thoughtful owners.
Nothing. There is a clear note in the description about access which is via the original stone stairs at the side of the coach house. For us, that was part of the charm and afforded lovely views over the Lyd valley - with the sound of the steam train occasionally tooting from the bottom of the hill, but for anyone with restricted mobility, it may be tricky. There is lighting and a handrail for the stairs so they have done what they can.
