Lovely autumn break to spend time with family

The location right beside the reservoir was ideal for walking- we have family in Wharncliffe Side and it was an easy walk to visit them. The cottage was secure and the electric charging facility was a welcome bonus.

There was an issue with the heating and hot water on our first morning but this was dealt with efficiently by the owners.

Beautiful peaceful cottage

This was a dream location! It was so peaceful and so close to some beautiful places. We found the cottage had everything we could want and more. They even left a bottle of prosecco and some shortbread for us, which was lovely. Very comfortable beds. I would 100% recommend staying here.

Perfect stay in a perfect little cottage.

Clean, comfortable cottage, well equipped with everything you could need. Location is perfect as a base for wandering. EV charging also a bonus. Excellent water pressure in shower. Really appreciated the fresh and clean linen and towels.

Only slight issue was shower screen could be wider to help avoid water getting everywhere - hardly a deal breaker!

Heavenly Home from Home

I cannot recall a more relaxing few days. I was in heaven. Stayed to visit family. Took my little dog with me and had amazing walks, fantastic pub lunches and days out. I'm already planning my next trip. The hosts were just lovely. Everything was considered. Even tools for the bbq. A bottle of Prosecco. Attention to detail was exceptional- it was home from home. The only downside was having to leave.

Going home was particularly difficult. I was really dragging my feet. The dog wasn't keen on leaving either.

Beautifully furnished and decorated, lovely living space, extremely high standards throughout. The location was wonderful, lots of walks about which are good for both young children and those wanting longer hikes.

Everything was good quality, beds comfortable, seating great, grounds immaculate

The weather was hot, heat rises and upstairs was too hot, we didn't want to leave a window open incase of rain, The blinds upstairs are diffuser effect rather than blackout, and since the window is over the bed, they let in too much light Otherwise everything was excellent

blinds in bedrooms didn’t black out nearly enough so we woke up with the sunrise at 5am.

It was lovely and also safe for our toddler, which was a relief!

Lovely cottage with plenty of space. Had a wonderful stay and was able to cook a lunch for family with no problem - kitchen very well equipped

We arrived at the property in the night and found it very difficult to find due to the signage being very small. Eventually found it by chance on Google maps/previous review photos showing the gates of the property. If the signage for the property was larger/illuminated, this would really help. A picture of the gates would also help eliminate any confusion whilst you’re trying to navigate the windy country roads!
