Hastings Old Town Tackleway privileged Sea Views whole house 3 beds

The house was fairly easy to find and check-in was quick and easy, we essentially were given a code for a locked key box outside where the front door key was left for us. Once inside the house we soon realised that it is bigger than it looks and pretty much, we had everything we needed for our short stay in Hastings. The living room was nicely decorated and both sofas were comfortable, despite this, we actually spent little time in the room. The two bedrooms on the floor above were spacious enough and these were the rooms we used. The bedroom to the rear had a fairly good view though the top floor room has fantastic views of the nearby hillside, the town and the sea. The upstairs bathroom is tiny but handy if you need the toilet at night, the main bathroom was the one we used most of the time as it was more comfortable for normal use. The kitchen was well equipped and had more than enough space to prepare food and eat at the table. We didn't go outside in the back yard but it was nice to have the option. Overall, the property was clean and tidy and I would consider staying again if I revisit Hastings.

The beds weren't particularly comfortable and I didn't really like the shower, my mother also found the kitchen sink on the small side and we both thought the bathroom sink was not of a terribly practical shape (too shallow but unnecessarily wide).

The location was fantastic

Access to the double room on the top floor was challenging due to the steep narrow stairs.

Lovely, spacious accommodation. Great views, - we loved the cleverly designed window/balcony in the attic room. Good location in the old town, handy for seafront and lots of great small independent shops, cafes and pubs. The cottage had a quirky homely charm and was equipped with everything you need for a short stay.

The sofas were very uncomfortable. Neighbours were very noisy through the night at the weekend (not the fault of the owner of course).
