Perfect little place in a great spot

Very comfortable property

This is definitely a purpose-built vacation home. Two comfortable bedrooms are on opposite sides of the kitchen/dining area and living room, making for a very quiet night's sleep. The two-person sofa converts easily into a comfortable double bed in the living room. Floor-to ceiling sliding doors connect to a nice terrace that holds comfortable outdoor seating. Lots of kitchen appliances, and a large drying rack for newly-washed clothes. Showers near both bedrooms (although only one toilet). Excellent zoned air conditioning. The property is set back from the street that runs along the river, which means that there is no traffic noise, although it also means that you cannot sit on the terrace and watch the Seine flow by.

The inside of the property looks very new and well-maintained, the yard needed to be mowed and the gutters cleaned out - plants were growing in them. Guests should be aware that the entrance to the property is 25 meters along a stone-gravel path from the street, completely unsuitable for wheelchairs. The property is 1.8 kilometers from the train station - there is a bus stop about five minutes away, on the main street, where you can catch a bus to the train station or the pretty downtown area. It runs once an hour. The 15-minute walk from downtown restaurants to the property is lovely, as the path runs along the river Seine. Finally, the owner or manager contacted me several times requesting that I contact him privately prior to posting a review, saying that it would somehow be in my interest to do that prior to posting anything negative in my review. Tsk, tsk.

Good base to explore the area, clean and comfy.

Great location in quiet neighborhood. Kitchen well equipped. Seating outside, weather permitting. Plenty of parking. Boulangerie and creperie right around the corner.

Place could use some TLC, inside and outside. Two brooms but no dust pan, slow internet, could use few more hangers -little things that can be fixed easily.

Lovely house

The place was very clean and comfortable with the air conditioning left on for our arrival, which was welcome on a very humid day. The owner was very accomodating of our early arrival time and very friendly on the phone when he called to tell us the place was ready for us. The house has all facilities you might need and a fully functional kitchen, there is plenty of space for parking if arriving separately.

The only minor negatives are that the grounds were a little overgrown, and there was only one toilet despite en-suite shower rooms for both bedrooms.

Close to Giverny, inside looks like the photos, outside doesn’t

Inside the accommodation looked like the photos, it was spacious, quite modern looking and with a well equipped kitchen. Beds were comfortable, extra pillows in the cupboard. There was air con. Overall we had a comfortable stay, close to Giverny.

When we arrived we weren’t sure if we were in the right place, as property was overgrown and unkept. The path leading to the back was hard to see, towering weeds covered it and we had to wade through it with our luggage. Upon inspection some patio chairs were damaged and after finding a few mosquitoes in the room we were reluctant to sit outside in the evening. Bathroom - soap was empty, shower filled (I suspect grate needs cleaning) No preset channels on the tv. After check in host messaged to ask if we would like to pay a cleaning fee of €30. This made us feel uncomfortable as we felt we may get a surprise charge for something upon check out and believed the price already included cleaning.

The outside looked horrible. The garden is overgrown and needs attention- junk piled up - I honestly thought I’d arrived at the wrong place.

Nothing to like. Property looked abandoned and overgrown Phone number for host does not exist. We were convinced we had been scammed. I have photos of broken garden chairs, wild garden and over-flowing bins. Avoid this property. Should not be listed on your site.

plenty of parking

Dirty, unloved, poorly maintained, definitely some safety issues regarding patio& large panes of glass up against wall, ceiling lights hanging out, missing grills in shower room floor, marching ants in bedroom & ensuite/ toilet, no light shades, filthy bin in kitchen, bbq unemptied & full of cigarette butts, garden & path overgrown / unmaintained, plot was still rubbish strewn with building materials & a growing mountain of empty wine & beer bottles. Etc, etc I took many photos but unable to show all, never stayed in a property in such a state.

Very bad experience

Nicely located by the Seine

This was the most dirty place I have ever stayed. no vacuuming has taken place in a long time, the showers were full of hair, the fridge/freezer was dirty. I asked the host to clean it, but he told me it was clean, and that I should be happy that I wasn’t charged extra for linen.

Nice place in a not-so-central residential area.

Having two separate bedrooms, each with it's own WC and shower was especially nice. It was large, located toward the back of a big yard. Very clean.

We had to take a taxi from a restaurant downtown, after dinner. I would have preferred a more central location. We w had a great deal of difficulty opening the container for the key as the code didn't seem to work. Our kind taxi driver called the owner and figured this out for us. (His name is Damien and HIGHLY recommended, if you need a cab.)

Fully equipped affordable bungalow a short walk from Central Vernon

Excellent air conditioning and luxurious showers. The apartment is fully equipped with amenities for cooking. The patio is a nice place to relax. A lot of effort and thought has clearly been invested in this venture.

We couldn't find instructions to get the wifi or tv to work. No obvious way to contact the host (we don't speak French, so we were hesitant to use voice phone). The apartment is clearly newly constructed and some small details need finishing.

This was just what we needed.

Jean Francois, the host, was very obliging and easy to talk to. He brought us more linens to accommodate an extra guest. The location was ideal for visiting the Monet gardens and enjoying the riverfront scene along the Seine. The walk to the restaurants was lovely.

Příjezd proběhl bez problému. Veškeré informace jsme dostaly s předstihem a obsahovaly všechno potřebné. Ubytovali jsme se v pěti lidech a všichni jsme měli dostatek prostoru. Byt byl plně vybaven a vyskytoval se v dobré lokalitě.

Při vstupu nás udeřil nevyvětraný vzduch, jinak vše proběhlo v pořádku.

Logement climatisé dans un jardin sur les bords ombragés de la Seine

Logement spacieux, de plain-pied, propre, confortable et surtout entièrement climatisé, il faisait 35 degrés à l'extérieur. Situé en bordure de jolies péniches stationnées sur la Seine le long d'une petite route ombragée fermée à la circulation après 19h. Parking privé. Idéal pr visiter les jardins de Giverny ou l'original château de La Roche-Guyon.

Très bonne communication avec le propriétaire. Maison bien placée, au calme, bien équipée . Nous avons apprécié qu'il y ait une salle de bains pour chacune des 2 chambres, la possibilité de se garer sur la propriété et la.terrasse, même en hiver ! Le propriétaire transmet des informations intéressantes sur la région . Promenade sympathique le long de la Seine et.centre ville à 15 minutes à pieds.Nous reviendrons sûrement.
