Nice place for a pleasant stay in Ardennes

Very helpful staff, good breakfast and very good restaurant for a dinner. The common spaces of the hotel are richly decorated. The village of Awenne is greatly located and offers very nice walks.

You can hear the noise from the corridor or neighbouring rooms.

Nice hotel although the person claiming to be the owner could be nicer with customers on the phone

Very clean, nice location for the area, great deco and nice breakfast.

Owner was quite rude on the phone, luckily wasn’t there during my stay.

Disappointing

The outdoor garden was spacious with tables outside where to have a drink. The hotel is placed in a strategic position for hiking routes.

The room and the bathroom were extremely small and the facility was outdated. The small size of the room and the lack of airco or ventilator caused poor air circulation. The outdoor garden lacks recreational seats where to chill and no dinner or breakfast is allowed outdoor.

Superb

The family staff. The breakfast, the dinner at the restaurant was a very good surprise. If you like fine food with perfectli matching wines, go for the menu "decouverte". Every course was surpring and the explanation of the master Somelier for the wine and the young lady daughter of the house were just right. Giving you the desire to taste without making it exaggerated or too fancy. 😋

Well difficult to say something negative... just to be fair . the bathroom while clean had a nickelsize rust stain on the heather. All the rest was just perfect. And frankly i prefer a stain of rust with a perfect welcome than a newly repainted stainless facility without any charm...

Countryside romantic inn with a restaurant

Spacious room, bathroom with a window, comfortable beds and linen. Beautiful garden.

All was very pleasant. If they would have a mini fridge and coffee/tea making facilities in the room, that would be the next level of stars for the hotel.

Nice cosy hotel. Restaurant was very good and innovative. Very nice staff. Pet friendly.

Neighbors were partying quite late in the garden next to our room. They also started a pretty noisy car in their garden early Sunday morning. Not at all the hotel's fault but not a very quiet experience.

Quite the experience

Friendly service and nice rooms for a decent price. However, keep in mind that the hotels restaurant is the only one in the village and it is significantly more expensive than the room. Nonetheless, the chef is brilliant and the 3 course menu is some of the best food that we've had in our entire lives. The taste combinations are unexpected but somehow the ingredients complement eachother perfectly. I would certainly recommend this place to a foodie.

Expensive drinks are expected in a gastronomical restaurant, but that was not what we expected given the price of the rooms.

Prima en sfeervolle Auberge. Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw en een prima ontbijt. Kamers zijn prima. Je kunt er ook eten en er is een bar om wat te drinken 's avonds. Op ongeveer 30 minuten rijden van Bastogne.

Heerlijk ontbijt, ook geweldig diner (wel betaald) en super vriendelijk personeel. En laatste een prachtige oude herberg.

De kamers waren wat gehorig, maar dat heeft te maken met dat het een oude herberg is.

Unieke ligging, romantisch voor twee en veelbelovend voor wandelingen in de natuur.

Unieke ligging binnen een klein rustig Ardeens dorpje met natuurrijke omgeving. Meegenomen is dat het hotel voor zijn gasten zowel over een barlounge als restaurant beschikt. Tijdig reserveren in het restaurant dat ook door lokale inwoners uit de omgeving wordt bezocht is aangewezen. Men had ons daags op voorhand hierover gecontacteerd. Heel gedienstig en klantvriendelijk personeel dat u van harte verwelkomt bij aankomst en regelmatig vraagt of men u met iets anders kan helpen. Op de gelijkvloers bevinden zich de receptiebalie, de met brocante gedecoreerde en ietwat Britse stijl aandoende barlounge met open haard en de aangename restaurantruimte. Heel warme kerstversiering was aangebracht. Zowel voor volwassenen als kinderen zijn gezelschapsspelen beschikbaar, mogelijk gezellig bij bestelde drank die men rustig wil consumeren. Voor het hotel is er gratis parkeergelegenheid beschikbaar. De kamers zijn sober maar comfortabel ingericht.

In het restaurant kan men een menu of à la carte bestellen. Het aanbod omvat specialiteiten van de streek. Wat ietwat tegenviel hoewel gecompenseerd werd door een even smakelijk alternatief was nl. dat sommige schotels, nochtans seizoengebonden, niet beschikbaar waren. Op zichzelf weinig 'dramatisch'.

Marché de Noël à Rochefort

Cadre reposant. Le salon près du feu de bois. Top L accueil. La sympathie et la gentillesse. Notre discussion avec le patron en fin soirée. Un vrai bon moment. La prochaine fois nous resterons sur place pour le repas.

Rien à voir avec le propriétaire de l établissement. Mais le non respect d un groupe de personnes qui parlent à l envers ne respectant rien au moment de retrouver leur chambre à 00h30 et commence à déménager je sais pas quoi , sans doute les lits qu ils font glisser. À part cela nous reviendrons

De kamer (suite) was uitstekend, zeker het tweepersoonsbed. DE gastronomische maaltijden (driegangenmenu)

De douche was geïntegreerd in het bad en de sproeikop was niet ideaal afgesteld. Maar het water was zeker warm genoeg en met voldoende debiet.

Personnel au petits soins et très souriant. L'hôtel possède son propre restaurant ce qui est un plus dans cette région plutôt désertique en commerces/restaurants. Le petit déjeuner était très copieux et varié.

Manque d'une bouilloire électrique et de thé/café. Literie moyenne (on sentait les ressorts). Restaurant de type gastronomique. Donc, très bon mais cher.

Karig ontbijt, kamer strookte niet met de foto’s , levende beestjes boven ons te horen ‘s nachts. Zeer kleine badkamer, tijd staat er stil. Rol wc papier nog enkele velletjes. Kleine kamer met lage schuine plafonds. Enkel glas wat niet veel goed geeft in de winter of zomer, geen vliegen raam. 5 euro voor een flesje “warm” bru water van 0,5L. Parking quasi onbestaande langs straatkant. Op glas badkamer waren er verschillende haren te vinden. In het resto zijn we niet geweest, prijzig, beter naar st hubert rijden, levendig centrum met lekkere betaalbaarbare resto’s.

Übernachtung in idyllischer Lage mit einem phänomenalen Mehrgangmenü.

Am ehesten lässt sich die Unterkunft als klassischer, alter Landgasthof beschreiben. Es ist in einem alten Gebäude mit viel Charme eingerichtet und wird durch die Familie betrieben. Die Lage in dem ruhigen Dorf Awenne nahe St. Hubert sorgt generell für Ruhe. Das Restaurant ist sehr beliebt bei Gästen aus der Umgebung, da es eine hohe Qualität mit besonderen Speisen (zu den entsprechenden Preisen) bietet. Daher sollte man am Wochenende auch einen Tisch reservieren, wenn mann nicht ausserhalb essen möchte,

Damit kommen wir auch zum einzigen Wehrmutstropfen. Da es im Dorf keine weiteren Lokale gibt, ist man auf eine gewisse Mobilität angewiesen bzw. sollte seinen Tagesverlauf entsprechend planen, wenn man eher einfach und/oder preiswert Abendessen möchte.
