I would definitely come again if the quality of service, food and swimming pool increased

The hotel is in a super nice location and there is a lot to do with kids. We were there in winter and would definitely come back in spring or summer. The pool was never overcrowded and the kids corner was nice. The room was perfect, with a bunk bed for the kids a bit separate from the rest of the room.

The menu and food of the restaurant was disappointing. The kids menu was absolutely sad with no healthy options at all. I had a burger and it was so badly cooked. We ordered gin tonics and a bottle of red wine. We got the gin tonics and then the food also immediately arrived. Hence, we cancelled the order of the red wine. In the first place, they did not have a classic Côtes du Rhône, which was on the wine list...?! When we finally wanted to pay, it took over 20 minutes for the bill to arrive. I could go on about how bad the service was, with no senior around at all, no proper timing on the order or the service of the order. The breakfast was boring and nothing was fresh. It was super disappointing. While the choice of sweet (industrial) pastries etc. was plenty, there was very little choice of cheese (and you could see where the cheese got dry from having been plated for a long time (you know when you take off a slice and it is brighter underneath?), fruit, vegetables etc. It was the same everyday with some weird combinations like soggy courgette with beans and sausage. Not even on New Years day did they serve anything special for breakfast. There was also no snack food served in the lobby. It would be great to come back from a walk or seeing the surroundings and have a small snack in the lobby. They only serve bitterballen and some random cheese cubes. One would expect at least a club sandwich with some fries or so... While the swimming pool was easy to access and not crowded, it was clear why. The water was super cold, so that even the kids did not want to stay in long. Advertising as a family hotel, it would be nice if the water was warmer and hence more enjoyable for everyone.

Parking too small, changing room at swimming pool is dirty, water in the pool is not that clean , toilet in our bathroom is not completely clean, if we open the ring, you can see dirty stuff, right away.

The Family room was quite spacious

The pool (water and room) was too cold, especially for children, it was not enjoyable. Breakfast way too expensive for what they offered and on Sunday, many things were finished and not filled again. Also, the linen service was sloppy and a lot of dust accumulated under the bed. All in all, too expensive.

Super centrally located and family friendly

Location is fantastic and the bunk bed in the family room was a big hit with the kids.

Breakfast on both days was understaffed and everything was running out: plates, bowls, pancakes, coffee machines breaking down. In the beginning, around 9.30am, only one lady was on the floor trying to do it all - clean dirty tables of people that have left, replenish the buffet, refill coffee beans... an impossible task and guests felt for her. Second day same issue. The pool in the basement was busy with young families, so clearly a popular feature of the hotel. However, the water was very cold - a feeling only made worse by the showers nearby that were very/too hot. In the room itself, bed comfort was ok - the cushions were very big though, especially for the kids' bed. For the lower bunk bed, a fall-out protection on the head side would be an improvement.

Fantastic hotel in a quaint little village

Very spacious room (double bed and bunk beds) with very comfortable beds, great shower and even a kitchenette for those keen on cooking. The pool area was lovely. Breakfast was fantastic with fresh bread and pastries, fruit, hot selection (scrambled eggs, mushrooms, etc). Friendly staff. Excellent hotel all in all. Would recommend.

No complaints about the hotel. Just be wary that the place itself (Han-sur-Lesse) is a bit of a ghost town in the off season.

Modern and clean hotel. Great location to see the park and the caves. Attentive staff. Nice details in the room. Great breakfast.

Dinner at the hotel's restaurant was not worth the money. We expected a main meal for the price and got a starter portion size instead. Food was good though.

The location is great. You can really walk to the every attraction in the city. The personnel at restaurant is very nice.

The personnel who is responsible for welcome you was horrible. You have to reserve the parking and table at restaurant in other case you do not have parking place or cannot eat.

Disappointing

Beds were comfortable.

The first room we received smelled like a burning ashtray. We reported this to the reception and we got another room. This room did not smell however it was not a quiet room as I requested initially. The AC did not work properly; we could not change the temperature. We reported this to the front desk and the guy there gave us a key to open the window. At least we could have some fresh air. He would send a technician promptly (although it was Saturday evening). Of course the technician did not come to fix our AC. We reported this to the girl at the front desk and she just grinned and said that the technician would come on Monday and that it was her first day at the front desk, which was a lie because we checked in with her the day before. This was not our first visit to this hotel, but it will definitely be our last.

Nice hotel that wasn’t up to the price.

It was obviously a very busy weekend for the hotel that they did not appear equipped to handle . It took an hour and a half to check in as our room wasn’t ready until 1630. It also did not have a balcony as in the listing. Our key card also had to be reset multiple times, which is a challenge with young children and at one point a stranger walked into our room, which was off putting. Finally, the pool is quite nice, but I wish we’d been aware it is all 1.4m deep as we would have brought some flotation devices.

Great location, very close to the main attraction in the region, the Caves of Han.

While not a big gripe, we booked a room with bunk beds specifically for our girls, but got to stay in one with twin beds. Restaurant Merlesse, part of the hotel, was a twofold experience. On one hand, the food was amazing, but we had extremely limited choice when we went there. We could either choose a 3 or 4 course menu, nothing á la carte. Luckily we were fine with the offered dishes, but at least some advance notice would have been nice to provide people with other options if they didn’t like the limited choices offered. The food was also not even close to the menu shown on their website.

Family friendly hotel on a great location

We're coming back the third year in a row. Great family rooms, very nice pool, good breakfast. Excellent location.

Hotel and facilities were very clean and well maintained. Our room was very big and quiet and had functional airco. Breakfast had a wide variety of food, all very tasty. Hotel had an underground parking. Location was in the middle of Han-sur-Lesse, close to attractions and restaurants.

Personnel is understaffed. People working there are obviously making a great effort to keep things going with a professional attitude; they have my appreciation for their effort. Swimming pool water was a bit cold for my preference.
