Walking distance to Champoeg Park featuring trails that wind along the scenic Willamette river. 10 minutes from St. Paul Rodeo. 30 minutes to downtown Portland, the Oregon Zoo, & Portland International Airport. Within an hour you can be at Mt. Hood or in just a little longer the Oregon coast. Home is walking distance from the oldest continuously operating retail establishment in the state of Oregon, the Butteville Store (https://butteville.org/butteville_store.html). Bring your kayaks, boats & jet skis with river access within 5 miles. Antique hunting @ Aurora Colony is located just 5 miles featuring , museums and restaurants. We were all in town for a wedding. My brother and his family and guest stayed at this house. They said it was great. He said very nice house.

I was a little nervous because the listing says five bedrooms but I only saw four in the pictures. There were in fact five regular bedrooms plus two pull out couches, one of which was in a room with pocket doors for privacy making effectively another room. Two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms plus two more bathrooms meant there was never a line despite our large-ish group. The house is super cute with a blend of the original details from this old home plus many great updates so the amenities and design were modern and comfortable. We loved our stay and will absolutely book again next year. We especially loved the second living area and kitchen upstairs - it was a quiet retreat to sneak away to read while the rest of the group was playing a game or watching a movie together downstairs. Historic general store and deli was a short walk away (although no sidewalk but a pretty quiet road, keep that in mind if you're walking with pets or littles) plus several places would deliver so we had all the amenities we needed. Parking was a touch tight with four vehicles if we tried to tuck all of them in the back but there was more space out front to park if you're in larger cars.

It was the perfect place for our wedding party. It was close to the venue and the two common rooms provided an area for the bridesmaid to get ready for the big ceremony.
