Not clean enough

We rented a studio apartment at this Aparthotel and had everything we needed for self-catering and rest. The kitchen is small but has a great portable stovetop, microwave and frig. The hotel is in a great location, reasonably close to the City Hall and pedestrian street, as well as the metro. The extra benefits of coffee in the lobby, evening wine and nightcaps were a lovely plus, after a long day of walking and sightseeing. Staff were very helpful and the decor of the hotel and lobby areas most pleasant. Overall, great stay!

The breakfast looked great but was quite expensive so we passed on this amenity. Also, the adjacent street and traffic noise was a bit disturbing, if you keep the windows open at night.

Breakfast food on offer was good. A continental breakfast. A barista coffee was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was very crowded. Location of the property is amazing. A short walk from most attractions and public transportation. Staff in the hotel lobby area were extremely helpful and lovely to deal with. Loved ‘free vine hour’ and sitting on the street seating with a cocktail. The layout of the hotel was very good.

The breakfast room was extremely busy. On the first two days at the hotel we sat at a table with dirty dishes while eating breakfast, staff looked stressed and not very polite. The third day at breakfast, we had a perfect experience which redeemed the first two days as clearly the staff were simply under the pump on the previous two days. The bed was very firm. There were lots of marks on the walls in our apartment.

The apartment was clean and spacious, with a nice sitting area and comfortable bed. The fan helped keep the room cool. It was also well equipped with cookware, utensils, drinkware, shampoo, body lotion, and a washing machine.

1. Washing machine/dryer: I made several attempts to contact the hotel before our stay to ask whether the washing machine had a dryer function, but never received a response. Unfortunately, it did not have a dryer. Since this was a multi-week vacation, not having a dryer was a significant inconvenience. This information should have been clearly provided in the booking description. 2. Unexpected cleaning requirements: We were required to wash our cups and take our trash downstairs before checkout, or risk being charged extra fees. These requirements were not mentioned during booking or at check-in. We only discovered them through information displayed on the TV in the room. Fortunately, we checked it. The reception staff explained that these rules apply because we were staying in an apartment. However, this was our first visit to Copenhagen, and we had no way of knowing. Regardless of whether it is a hotel or apartment, all additional fees and checkout requirements should be clearly disclosed before booking.
