Clematis Cottage, Fortrose

The property is clean, easy to find, has parking right outside and a nice homely feel. Keys were easy to access and communication with the owner was great.

The kitchen tap was broken and water was squirting out towards me when I used it so I got a bit wet doing the dishes. The stairs are very steep and quite dangerous in my opinion. Potentially a hazard. I also think saying you are dog friendly but the dog must stay downstairs is an oversight. Anyone with a dog would not go to a strange place and then leave their dog downstairs while they slept upstairs. That was impossible with my puppy and if i knew in advance, i would have booked elsewhere. I tried it for an hour and my 7 months old puppy screamed the house down so out of respect of the neighbours, i took my puppy upstairs to calm him and let him sleep, no other choice.

Very clean and close to the harbour.

we only required accommodation for the one night a we were attending a family funeral and the church was just a short walk down the road. The house was very clean, lovely and warm and well equipped. The outside space was great. It had everything we required and is well situated. Managed to park 2 cars easily enough.

nothing, we were only there the one night

The beds were so comfortable. A great nights sleep.
