È un appartamento bellissimo, ben ristrutturato, in un’ottima posizione, pulito e dotato di tutti i comfort necessari sia per un breve soggiorno sia per una lunga vacanza. La posizione strategica permette di visitare Matera senza l’utilizzo di nessun mezzo ma può essere comunque considerato un’ottima soluzione, anche per esplorare tutte le bellezze in prossimità di Matera.
Non ho niente da segnalare.

The host was very friendly and helpful, and communication was easy. We were met for check-in and given the keys and a tour of the apartment.
The apartment was a great size - definitely plenty big for two people, and very bright and comfortable. The design is attractive, I really liked the living room, and the bed itself was very comfortable.
The kitchen is well designed and well stocked, and was very helpful to have.
The location is great, just meters away from the central area, and an easy walk to the Sassi and some good restaurants. We didn't need a car at all going around the city.
The apartment building itself was also quiet and clean.
Only very small imperfections: the shower is a bit small, but it's clean and the curtain contains the water well.
Also, the street can really be heard even with the shutters closed, but it was usually quiet except when somebody would drive by with loud music.
Also there is nearby free street parking, but it's about 1km away. There's paid parking extremely close, but nothing reserved or anything.

Lovely hosts and you are a few steps away from walking into the historical area of Matera. They greeted me at the apartment to hand over the keys and explain everything. They even provided some local recommendations which was great as well. There is plenty of natural light, glimpses of the old town, the castle, the park and local life with the big windows and small balcony easily accessible. It feels very spacious with the tall ceilings and wide walkways. Washing machine and dryer is a bonus, full kitchen and lots of living space too. Easy to stumble out of bed and go for a walk to find coffee, food, shops and wander the old town.
These are practical things that I know other travellers may miss when they are scanning listings before booking. The property made these things clear but just in case you use the search functions.
Car parking - there is none available, you have to try and find either paid or free options on the streets nearby which can be hard to do as the city is quite busy. I was lucky to find a place to park after doing a few laps of the area which was a few hundred metres away going up the hill, there is a few public parking stations or free parking if you go further out of the city.
Stairs - This is a beautiful old building, but there is no lift, you have to go up a few flights of stairs so just keep in mind for luggage etc and to have the right expectations. It is common for older buildings in Italy to not have a lift.
