Simona, our host, was incredibly professional. She answered every question we had and was attentive all the way through our stay. You will find everything you need in the house, and everything is very comfortable. If you arrive by bus from Bari, like we did, you will need to get a taxi. However, the taxi will stop practically in front of your door, so there is no need to drag any luggage around.

Perfect location in the historic town of Matera. Easy to walk around the Sassi with several delicious restaurants nearby, and the surrounding views are stunning.
Kitchen facilities a bit lacking. As pointed out by other guests, there is a step next to the bathtub which can be slippery if not careful.

The location is excellent for staying in the old part of Matera and the accommodation is perfect for a family of four. The amenities with full kitchen and washing machine were also a great help.
Needed to wear slippers as the stone floors were a bit cold but that’s a very minor complaint.
