Serene Stay

Everything was fantastic. The apartment is located in a quiet part of the city. Having secure parking in a closed courtyard was very important for us because we were traveling by motorcycle. The staff were extremely helpful with everything. They even had an air compressor for inflating tires, which we used for our motorcycle, and it was especially useful since it’s quite difficult to find a gas station in Albania that has one. The accommodation is new and very clean. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend!

Maybe put some drinking glasses in the room.

The staff was wonderful. The lady was very kind, but she doesn't speak ANY English. She called her son and checked me in over the phone, since he speaks English and French. There's private parking inside the courtyard of the house, although the space is very small for all the cars they wanted to fit. It was difficult to park and maneuver in the limited space, but they let me leave my car blocking the owner's car (which she wasn't going to move that night), so I could park more easily and avoid so much maneuvering. The apartment is very nice, renovated, and perfect. Plus, it's on the ground floor, which is better because I don't have to carry my suitcase upstairs.

They only left me one roll of toilet paper, which wasn't enough, even though it was only for one night. For some people, that might be enough, but I usually have several bowel movements a day, and I also had my period, so I need more paper. I don't need to justify myself or give these explanations. At check-in, I didn't realize there was only one roll. Later that night, when I needed it, I wasn't going to wake the owners to ask for more, so I had a bad time not being able to clean myself after using the bathroom. The next morning, I didn't see the woman and got ready to go to the supermarket to buy toilet paper (dirty because I hadn't been able to clean myself). Just as I was leaving, I saw her and asked her for the paper. Later, when I complained to her son, he said I could have called her at any time in the middle of the night to ask for it, but I wasn't going to call at 3 a.m. to ask where the paper was, especially since I didn't think she would give me access to the owners' private area. It wouldn't cost them much to leave a couple of extra rolls in the bedroom closet for people who need them.

The room was clean and comfortable and the host very kind.

The shower could use a curtain maybe, but I've seen it's a pretty common thing in Albania.
