Beautiful Waterfront House w/ Pool, 7 min to the Beach

The home was very clean and all necessities were provided for guests. The home is close to everything…beach, shopping, grocery and restaurants. The bird sanctuary and pool could not be any better. This was our second time staying at this property, and just like our first visit, the experience was great. One of the things that makes this place so special is that the pool area backs to a lake with an island in the middle of it. We spent a lot of time sitting on the screened lanai watching birds and other wildlife (last time, in October, we saw anhingas, egrets, ducks, and softshell turtles; this time, in April/May, there were rosette spoonbills, a wood stork, and other types of fresh water turtles). Because of the wooded island in the lake, you can swim in the pool or watch the wildlife and still have privacy from the houses across the water. The pool was a comfortable temperature and clean. Both bathrooms had been remodeled just before our first stay, and they're still in tip-top condition. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, mugs, and cooking utensils. Washer and dryer worked great. Garage had pool toys, along with beach chairs and umbrellas (it looked like some new beach chairs had been added since our last stay). We didn't use the TV, but the wifi worked just fine. Our host Magdalena made sure that we had no problems getting into the house, and checked in with us every so often via Vrbo to make sure that everything was going okay. As I mentioned in my last review, we've stayed in several rental houses in Florida over the past 4 years. Some have been really nice, but this one is our favorite. This was our seventh stay in Florida over the past 4 years, and this was by far the best house that we've rented. The house itself was beautiful and immaculately clean. Just before we arrived, Magdelena (our host) warned us that there might be some residual dust from recent remodeling of the bathrooms, but there was no mess at all, and the the bathrooms were absolutely gorgeous, each having a beautiful new walk-in shower. The view from the lanai and pool was totally awesome and unique. We could watch the birds and other critters in the lake (we saw softshell turtles, ducks, cranes, and anhingas) while the bushes and trees on the island in the middle of the lake obscured the view of the homes on the other side. It was really wonderful. The place was fully stocked with cooking utensils, towels, pool toys, and beach equipment. We didn't use the bicylces, but they looked good. We didn't use the TV either, but the wifi worked fine. Washer and dryer worked great. We also loved the neighborhood and the location, which was within 10 minutes drive to North Jetty and Nokomis beaches, while also within easy striking distance to beaches at Venice, Manasota Key, and Siesta Key. Magdelena was extremely helpful and informative. Had a great time.

We loved this property! I have stayed at many VRBO’s and this one was the most stocked I’ve ever seen.. the proximity to the beach, highway was amazing.. My family and I loved the pool , but watching the birds.. that was the most relaxing part.. it was really magical! I really can’t say enough about this house and the host. I would definitely stay here again
