SORRENTO HIDDEN GARDEN & Rooms

Great comfortable room with all needed amenities and spacious balcony, comfortable beds, great bathroom. Communication with the staff was easy and quick, they were very helpful and nice, gave us recommendations and picked us up in front of the property with the keys. Location is perfect only few minutes away from the busy city centre and the beach

It had air con when it was extremely hot. Walking distance to everywhere and quiet because it was off the main road but in its own space.

The rooms were only a short 15 minute walk into the main streets and had lots of restaurants and stores surrounding the area. The room was lovely and large, meaning we had a space to rest after the day without having to sit on the bed. There was also a lovely garden area attached to the room that we could sit out in on a night. The staff were all lovely and gave useful information about the area. The area felt very safe as well.

Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing accommodation of our trip. The photos are not completely misleading, but they create a much better impression than the reality. The room itself was acceptable and had everything that was advertised, but everything felt old, worn out, and in need of renovation. The entire property looked tired and lacked any welcoming atmosphere. The hallways were dark and felt more like an old office building than a place where you would want to spend your holiday. One of the biggest disappointments was the lack of hospitality. During our entire stay, we only saw a staff member once, when we checked in. After that, all communication was through WhatsApp. There was no reception, no one asking if everything was okay, no local recommendations, and no feeling that anyone actually cared about the guests. It felt like we were simply renting a room rather than staying in a guest house. Finding the property was also unnecessarily difficult. There is no visible signage and it’s really hidden inside the building, so it’s impossible to find. We informed them of our arrival time, but still had to wait outside for about an hour before someone arrived to check us in. Without mobile internet, it would have been impossible to find the entrance or contact anyone. The bathroom was another major disappointment. The shower cabin was extremely small and uncomfortable, making it difficult even for an average-sized adult to shower comfortably. The bathroom door could not even be locked, which is something that should be fixed. The air conditioning was probably the biggest design flaw. It is installed directly above the bed and blows cold air straight onto anyone sleeping there. We couldn’t use it overnight because it was blowing directly onto us and our child, so we had to sleep without air conditioning instead.
