About this house rental
Charming late eighteenth century family home, located facing the Loire at the exit of the village in the historic district of Le Port, accommodating up to 12 people.
Enclosed garden not overlooked with two outbuildings including the "cooper's workshop" with a large fireplace, the perfect place to spend a convivial evening by the fire and grill with family or friends. Within reach of the main house.
The "summer garden" with its half-timbered floors opening onto the garden, will allow you to have lunch sheltered from the sun (or rain!)
The garden is equipped with a swing set and trapeze.
Ideal for family stays with children and for visiting the Loire Valley castles (Sully, Chambord, Chaumont, Cheverny, etc.) as well as for lovers of "La Loire à vélo" which passes under the windows of the house.
Nearby: the Basilica of Saint-Benoit-sur-Loire, the Carolingian Church of Germigny-des-Prés, the Sologne, the Forest of Orléans, the Faïencerie de Gien and the Briare Canal Bridge.
The centre of the village with many food shops can be reached on foot in 5 minutes.
Activities:
Municipal swimming pool 300m from the house with large outdoor pool and wading pool for children.
Beach 500m from the campsite and many wild beaches on the banks of the Loire.
Canoeing down the Loire, trips in old barges to discover the fauna and flora (Les Passeurs de Loire)

Wow!! The pictures do not do this house justice…it is a truly beautiful house..
We were a group of friends and family..6 adults and 6 children/teens..
We all fell in love with the house.
The house is situated on the river, 5 mins walk to town. We were lucky to arrive during a festival and celebrated one of our groups birthday whilst we were there..the town were having a party and we danced till late..a weekend we will never forget..the only downside was we only stayed 2 nights..we all left wanting more..

Nous sommes venus entre amis avec nos enfants pour un long week-end. Le contact avec la propriétaire s'est bien passé, elle était très disponible.
La maison est confortable, bien équipée, propre, très accueillante. Le jardin est magnifique, nous en avons bien profité. Les dépendances sont parfaites pour les soirées sans déranger les enfants (à portée de babyphone !).
Le bourg est très sympa (la propriétaire vous indiquera les meilleures adresses !), de belles balades en bord de Loire, un joli parc avec des jeux pour enfant et des tables de pique-nique.
Bref, logement et alentours étaient idéaux pour se retrouver tous ensemble.
