Had a nice stay, the bed was comfortable and a good place to rest after exploring all day.

The room was spacious, with a nice view if Cabot tower. It felt private enough, with a patio outside, but it was too cold to use it as we stayed in January.

As with converted period houses, the plumbing probably isn't ideal. There were wafts if sewage smell sometimes.

Nice apartment but badly managed

Spacious and stylish apartment close to city centre

Real faff to get in as they would not release door codes to me unless I paid a deposit, which wasn’t mentioned through booking.com. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff didn’t add to the experience.

It was quite a comfortable stay. I slept well

The room I stayed in had little patio. That was nice. The bed was very comfortable. Really nice spacious room.

Apartment lottery

Customer services were very good when we phoned to complain and sorted out our moves quickly and politely. Our last apartment was clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. Our review scores were affected by our initial problems.

First app 13 on top floor (luggage - no lift!). No toilet and no bathroom as advertised. Moved to basement App 2 - luggage- no lift!!! It smelt very bad and shower didn’t work. Moved to App 1 next door - v good. Place appeared to be empty - why we weren’t given a decent app in the first place defeats me. Description of App 13 needs changing - very deceptive. Also not having a lift makes things very difficult for elderly guests with luggage!! That should be addressed when booking.

Perfect for a couple's weekend away.

We loved how quirky the apartment was, with the low and rounded ceilings and not quite flat floor. It was lovely. The "view" of the Wine Cellar was big highlight. The shower was very good. The wifi was also very good.

There is no kitchenette. It's just a fridge and some very basic crockery and cutlery. It did not affect us though as we were always planning to order in or go out.

Overpriced and disappointing

Staff were very quick to reply and let us have an early check in without the £20 surcharge

It was really really expensive for what it was - around £300 for Sat night . We were in apartment one - in the basement. It felt sterile although nicely decorated but the worst thing was that at night two floodlights blasted in through the large windows all night.

Good single accommodation, let down by slowness in sending access details

I have just one irritation. As soon as I booked, they bombarded me to check in right away online - at 9 in the morning! They sent an email and text, making it sound urgent. I was busy dealing with a police matter, so I didn't appreciate this. But when I did check in, they not only took £100 more of my money - refundable: they better! - but also failed to send the access details for several hours. I was already en route to Bristol by then, and became anxious. Not good service,

Clean and quiet but the obvious damp problems are a bit off putting.

A great location and easy to get into the room. Clean and quiet.

The stairs down to the room are tricky to navigate with a suitcase. The main issue is the smell of damp in the room, there’s flaking paint on the walls all over the room.

Charming apartment with one hitch

Great large apartment in great location.

Despite requests at 3 different stages of booking process, bed was not split into two singles. I was traveling with my adult son, and didn’t really want a double bed! In fact, twin bed was a search term when making booking.

The smell of humidity and that is literally a wine cellar. The cleaning could be better, there were spiders in the room and the smell was horrid from outside the door even…

Disappointing, damp and dark

The shower was the best bit!

- cobwebs in the corner - it smelt damp in there - it was underground so there wasn’t alot of natural light - it was so cold we had to put the heating on - very small - nowhere to do your makeup or a floor length mirror - the extractor fan was on consistently after trying so many switches and was so noisy - there was a bright green light which stayed on all night

Disappointed

The apartment was in a good location and it was nice and clean.

The room was like a cellar converted, there wasn't much natural light any there wasn't a kitchen sink to wash up or fill the kettle. Very small but clean.

Too hot, and the window opens out on to the park- beautiful but so SO noisy on a weekend as it leads onto a strip of bars on Park St.

Great location, lovely well-decorated room.

It's a beautiful room, well put together with the library and the furnishings. The location is perfect, right by Park Street and Brandon Hill, so it's easy to get everywhere.

The only downside was that the bathroom has an automatic light and fan that comes on when used, and then this turns off about 15 minutes later, so if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night you have the fan and light going for a while. It would be better if it had a switch.

Dirty apartment in central Bristol.

Location was good but the park across the way was busy and the was an office building 2 doors down that was very busy.

It was not clean when we arrived. We messaged the property but they did not clean the place until 24 hours after the complaint was placed, furthermore the cleaning conducted was sub par. The apartment was dirty and shabby. The photos really lied.

Poorly managed apartment

The location is great

I chose the option for the beds to be made up as 2 singles and selected to have the linen for the sofabed. Both requests were accepted with an email confirming them, and neither were provided. The shampoo and shower gel had not been refilled so there was none available which is frustrating when you are expecting it. When I sent a WhatsApp to the number provided specifically for WhatsApp, I received no response. Overall I was disappointed by the management of the property, although the property itself was fine.

Pleasant but few issues.

Lovely area

Very small room, no door for the bathroom, there was seafood left in the fridge which was not ideal as me and my girlfriend both have allergies though the cleaner disinfected the fridge for us. Could've done with some air conditioning and there was no coffee machine as stated.

Good location, but you're better off booking a hotel as this is just a bedroom with a kitchenette

The location was very good, with a lovely square at the front, and a nice park at the back. Good location for access to the University of Bristol. Not far from the city centre. Good towels. Bed was comfortable. Tea, uht milk, shower/hair wash and conditioner provided.

The general lack of care and cleanliness. The carpets were filthy, with evidence of wine stains. The windows were dirty. The bathroom was clean, but in need of decorating, as water from the shower had damaged the walls. There was a filthy sock attached to something on the ceiling, hopefully not the smoke detector! The bedside table was cracked. Upon arriving, the bathroom light (motion detector) didn't work. When it did start working, the very noisy fan stayed on for 10 minutes after exiting the bathroom. There was a tiny amount of hand soap in the bathroom; it hadn't been topped up. The shower pole was loose, so the shower head could only be set at a low angle; if you tried moving it up, it just fell back down. No recycling, only general waste bins. The QR code with instructions led to a site that didn't load properly onto a smartphone. See photo.

Really peaceful well positioned stay in an amazing part of Bristol

Nice big high ceilings, felt like we had more space and the added bonus of the courtyard. To have the door open for air was nice after a couple of warm days. Well positioned for everything you need and nice bright decoration. Overall really lovely place! We’ll be back again

Not really a dislike but the property could do with some updated crockery. We were missing a few bits (which we know we could have asked for) but were too busy enjoying ourselves to worry. The drains can were a little smelly at times, but you have to understand the age of the building and you’ve done a really good job achieving all you can.

Terrible Experience, would never book again!

How easy it was to get the keys. Everything else was a terrible experience.

When I arrived, the room they assigned me was dirty (Room 9), as it was not cleaned from the previous guests (I had to provide video evidence, which I did via whatsapp), I was assigned another room (Room 3). A day after I checked out I've been charged, when asked why they said there was a missing remote - bearing in mind the remote was left on the bed as that's where the tv was being watched from. Seems like they just want to make extra money from you so they add charges for bogus reasons they can't prove. Overall terrible experience, only book here if you want to be charged for reasons they just make up. I've attached pictures of my arrival to the initial room I was assigned.
