Such a beautiful apartment in a fantastic location.  It was my 'french dream'  and it more than lived up to my expectations.  Laura is a fantastic host and I spent a very enjoyable 60th birthday week here.  Incredibly close to all the major tourist attractions and transport systems but also in an incredibly quiet area, despite the fact that it's in the middle of France's third largest city.  And for previous posters I loved the quirky design elements.  I spent most of my evenings looking at the river traffic.  Barely half a book was read while I was there (I read approx 3 books a week avg).  Too much to watch outside....  Hopefully I will be back sometime soon.

Laura was a very responsive and helpful host, and went out of her way to accommodate our arrival and departure times. Her apartment has an unbeatable location for Lyon's central area and the view of the river is delightful. The apartment is nicely decorated and well supplied with all the essentials. It was a very quiet place for sleeping; the occasional passages of a riverboat blaring loud dance music were brief and limited to daylight hours.

As others have noted, the layout is odd, with both the kitchen and bedroom opening into the bathroom.

Location, view of the river and easy access to old town. A lift. It was roomy enough for two.

Heating was not consistently warm, dangerous having to step in and out of a bath to shower. Prefer shower only. Could have welcome milk in fridge for guests.
