Boskenvid Hotel - Romantic Treehouses & Skypool

This stay was truly one of a kind! The treehouses and cabins make you feel transported from the Valley into a peaceful woodland escape. There’s even a small farm with goats, chickens, and an adorable donkey, which adds to the charm of the place. The bed was spacious and very comfortable, and breakfast was nice. The pool was a little too cold to enjoy in the afternoon, but the jacuzzi felt amazing! The weather here was noticeably colder than in other parts of Valle de Guadalupe, especially at night and in the early morning. We didn’t even need to turn on the AC, but there were plenty of blankets. Overall, it was a unique and charming experience. One thing to keep in mind is that getting around the property may be challenging for people with mobility issues, as there are several wooden walkways and rustic stairs. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it’s worth considering when booking.

Beautiful property with treehouses throughout, each with their own access path. The outside cafe is very cute. the staff was very nice but spoke very little English, so be prepared to do check-in entirely in Spanish! The room was clean and comfortable for 2 people, a large bed. We loved the high ceilings, rain shower, and the bed was very comfy. The pool was beautiful with a great view, but its in the garden of the villa that I think belongs to the owners? So it felt as though we were in someones property, which was a bit unusual.

Our room (cabana 1) did not have a full wall to separate the bathroom and the bedroom areas. There was a door to the bathroom, but on the side of it was a gap in the wall where a tree branch crossed. This was surprising and a little weird, as other parts of the room had walls built around the tree branches. It meant that the bathroom had no real privacy and you could hear everything from the bed. We also found the included breakfast to be pretty mixed - the coffee was terrible, the chilaquiles had no egg or any meat (just a pile of tortilla strips, beans, potatoes). Recommend the scrambled eggs and fresh orange juice instead!

The room was interesting and definitely a different experience. The service was very good. A pleasant gentleman walked us to our room, showed us around, and made check-in easy. The outdoor patio was beautiful, and the property has a bohemian, glamping-style atmosphere. While it wasn’t really my personal style, I can see how others who enjoy that type of experience would appreciate it.

What I didn’t enjoy was the bathroom layout. Because there’s a tree in the room, the bathroom wall isn’t fully enclosed, so there isn’t much privacy. From the bed, you can partially see someone using the restroom, which wasn’t very romantic and felt a little too exposed for my taste. The room was also very bright in the morning. Better blackout curtains and covering the windows on the door would have made it much more comfortable to sleep in. I also felt a little uncomfortable with the shower. The window was fairly low and didn’t have a curtain or privacy cover, so I couldn’t help but wonder if someone outside might be able to see in. It made showering feel a bit awkward. Overall, it’s a unique place with friendly service, but the lack of privacy wasn’t for me.
