Great!

Great location in well-maintained, easily accessible building which faces the sea. Very well-equipped, spacious flat on the third floor. Sea views to the side. A great place to be busy doing nothing or as a base to explore the local area. Great walks along the sea front, a short walk from the town centre, convenience stores nearby if needed. I didn't go out to eat, but there are great eateries nearby. Genial hosts and the neighbours are lovely if you happen to meet any of them. I'm really happy to recommend it as a great place to stay.

We had a lovely short break and pleased we picked to stay at ‘The Retreat’.

Modern furniture and design, light and airy, well equipped ( tea bags, coffee, sugar, toiletries, cleaning materials etc). Clean. Lovely view of the seafront. About 10-20 minute walk to restaurants , bars and shops. Free parking in side street. Overall had a very tranquil feel about ‘The Retreat’.

The situation on Beach Road with bus services handy. Property very clean and spacious with evertything we needed.

The bed could have been more comfortable and the pillows felt lumpy. While there was instant coffee, many places we have stayed in now provide a coffee pod machine.

The apartment was spotless, all kitchen equipment we needed was available and everything was beautifully laid out. We felt right at home as soon as we walked through the door. The owner met us to hand over the keys, gave us directions to local amenities and was generally really friendly and helpful.

Really pushed to think of anything to improve, honestly. The bath towels could have been a little larger and the bedding (duvet cover, pillowcases) was a bit bobbly due to use/washing, but I'm really struggling for something to be picky about. Oh, any I think we ran out of hot water at one point and had to wait for the system to heat up again, but this was only a bit of an inconvenience (and my partner has really long showers). Several comments were in the guest book about the apartment being cold and the heaters being limited to 20°C, but at the time of year and with the fantastic weather, this didn't affect us.

An enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Very clean apartment. The kitchen was very well equipped and little touches like sofa throws were appreciated. The apartment is well located and a short walk into the town.

I cant say there was anything we didnt like. If I had to make a suggestion I would say a TV in the bedroom would have been a nice addition. I know its not for everyone.

Great but cold

Fantastic flat, immaculate and very well equipped.

It was COLD, the heaters are locked at 20 degrees and there is no fuse in the heated towel rail so the bathroom is freezing and there towels didn’t dry. Contacted the hosts whose response was to use the hot water bottles in the wardrobe, not really the response you want when you’re paying over a £100 a night. We had to go out and buy a heater. Make sure you pack your slippers and something warm if you’re planning a winter trip.

Lovely apartment, everything you needed, close to all amenities

Lovely views and super clean.. decorated very tastefully. Good travelling distance to other attractions.. we went to Stonehenge, Bath, bishops palace and gardens in Wells, and had lovely walks along the beach in Weston super mere

Great home away from home

Everything was thought of throughout this apartment. It was a perfect home from home. I like the fact that the owners meet you with the keys rather than have a safety deposit box like most places these days. It was spotlessly clean, well located, with plenty of free parking on the street beside the building.

The only niggle was that the Netflix didn't work when my friend signed in to her account but we were barely there to watch TV anyway :)
