Central Hostel Oia

Great location, next to the bus stop, close to everything in Oia. Kitchen is alright. The staff is amazing, Diana made me feel really welcome. There is access to a nearby swimming pool, with decent prices, had an amazing and relaxing holidays thanks to that!

Most of the guests were male of Indian - Pakistan - Asian descent, which made them quiet. Not the best balance I am accustomed to in hostels, but well, whatever. My bed was slightly worse than the pictures, and it had a bit of a wall on top which I banged myself at least three times (thank God I have a strong crane). The air-conditioning in the room was just enough, at the maximum setting, while the kitchen and common area isn't cooled at all. Overall I had a good time and I would probably visit again, if on a budget.

I had a great stay at Mosaikon! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful — they really made me feel welcome. They also gave me great tips to explore the nearby areas, which made my trip even more special. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

The location in the heart of oia not far from most facilities, I rarely saw the staff which gave an autonomy and privacy to the place. The kitchen was great and very well equipped.

Location! You can’t get to stay in a better location than this. Center in Oia. It gets super busy during the day, but in the evenings and early morning, it is super beautiful with the views. The host is very responsive. Bathrooms are nice - cleaned everyday. Would def come back and stay when I am back in Santorini

It gets busy until like midnight. People move in and out. Plus people start to wake up around 6am.

Small and intimate hostel. Not many guests which was nice and the bathroom was good. Host was good.

Very small and no privacy in the beds. Everyone had to hang up sheets for privacy. Not worth the price either, much cheaper hotels around which I swapped to after 2 nights. Also did see one of the managers asleep in one of the bunks

The location is ideal, just outside the craziness of Oia and nearby the busses and grocery stores. At the same time, you can easily walk into the main drag of Oia in 2 minutes. The terrace was really big and nice for meals or relaxing. The kitchen was always clean and the bathroom was, too. The bunks were also kept clean and the fact that there are only like 8 beds in total is actually really nice. Honestly, the value is also just great. You're going to spend all your time in Oia and neighboring towns anyways, so this is the perfect, clean and affordable place to rest your head at night. The manager, Harry, was also really helpful.

I think I agree with others here that they could install hooks in the shower area to hang your towel, as well as a handle so that you can have the shower head spray down on you instead of holding it. But those are both minor details. The flooding issue I read about on here was totally fixed by the time I stayed here, too.

The location is extremely good. Right next to the bus station. Place is new and very clean. You have the sea view from your room too.

But some basic amenities are lacking. Hair dryer wasn't around, microwave isn't available, and the bathroom drain was blocked

WiFi didn't work during my whole stay and there was no information about the check in when arriving to the hostel. The contact number at the site didn't give any answer, I assume that they were on a holiday as my stay was before the high season.

excellent location just above the bus stop when arriving in oia it felt more like an air bnb than a hostel. clean, well maintained, safe, great staff, in the heart of everything. ask the kind woman at the corner store for the entrance. located directly behind the building were the bus drops off. I enjoyed beautiful sunsets and great food from the surrounding restaurants definitely a great stay for the value.

everything was perfect though it would be a good addition to add a microwave oven. and a washer/dryer. LG makes an all in one unit that washes and drys LG V5WD961 Washer-dryer combination. my only caution to travelers is that no one greets you. to check in. it's DIY the door was unlocked at my arrival and I let myself in. which many female travelers may have an issue with. I suggest that the owner install a coded doot lock, lockbox or direct travelers to a place to pick up a key for security reasons. and a security cam oia is a very laid back community but travelers come from different parts of the world as a safety precaution the added security features would attract more bookings.

It was great location, clean, accessible, comfortable!! The owner was in another nearby location and very hands on with staying in touch in case I needed anything only issue was the noise from the high winds

Duvets/comforters were provided and October being the colder months these were definitely needed as at night it gets very cold, ideally they should be used all year round as all people are different in the summer or winter times. Also the shower room was a bit of an issue as the water then began to flow out of the shower and this area could do with a stop line, so water doesn't go under the door!!

Very comfortable beds, great location. Beds have individual charging facility, lockers, bedside tables and reading lights, all of which are good for a hostel situation.

Separate male and female bathroom; we had 1 guy and 7 girls staying for a night, so that was a bit unnecessary. Shower drain needed urgent unclogging, and the fridge in the kitchen had something dying inside (should be cleared much more often). Way way way overpriced for a dorm room, but it's a captive audience with hardly anything more reasonable available in Oia...

for me the best of this hostel was the location, just off the bus stop and perfect if you don’t want to be hauling your luggage on stairs or the hills

The manager Harry is very nice and friendly! the location is really good and convenient, it’s close to all attractions in Oia.

Its vibe, its style; a quality of mattress was superb. Very clean and inviting.

Perhaps the fact that there is no door between the eight bank beds and bathrooms and kitchen.

The location was perfectly positioned close to all the shopping and restaurant options, and steps away from the road to take the bus or car transportation everywhere. Harry was a great help in getting me signed up for a boat tour and alerting me when my ferry would be arriving late because of the weather conditions before departing to my next destination.

The photos for the hostel are a bit misleading! The dorm had bunk beds without privacy curtains, the towels provided where too small, the ladder to climb up to my bunk was poorly positioned near the bathroom door, we only got a sheet to cover ourselves (good luck when someone pumps up the AC at night). There were zero hooks anywhere to hang up anything whether it was near the beds or in the bathroom, which was frustrating because there was only limited space to share on a small dryer rack that was outside. A maintenance guy would come around 10am, and nudge his way to clean around the place even if we were still using the sink for example. The front door was seemingly kept unlocked at all times, which we then relied on an honor system of hopefully nothing crazy happening. Some lockers did not function properly. The shower rooms were filled with everyone’s bottles all on the ground, and often clogged. Because of the windy conditions on the island, we often heard the doors slam every so often and waking us up throughout the night. The pool is located “5 minute walk away” at another hotel location. Not the most comfortable stay, but definitely needs major improvement.
