Crompton Cottage

Our stay felt like travelling back in time — in the best possible way! The beautiful old farmhouse had so much character and charm, and everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The lovely old wstoep was the perfect place to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, There was more than enough space, and we were generously provided with plenty of wood for the whole weekend. The fireplaces in each room and the extra heaters were a real blessing during the cold weekend and made the house feel warm and cosy. The fresh milk and eggs from the farm were such a thoughtful and special touch and really added to the experience. We absolutely loved our stay and had such a wonderful, relaxing weekend. A beautiful old farmhouse, peaceful surroundings, great braai facilities and all the little touches that made us feel right at home. We would definitely come back!

I honestly have nothing negative to say about our stay. If anything, one small addition we would have loved would be a little book, framed story, or portrait in the house sharing some of the history of the farmhouse and the property. I asked about the history during our stay and was fascinated by the story — it was such an interesting historical read! With the beautiful old farmhouse and all its character, I think having some of that history available for guests to discover would be a really lovely addition and make the experience even more special.

Beautiful farmhouse with ample space and extremely comfortable beds. Tamsin made sure to get the fires going before our arrival which was appreciated as it was a cold weekend. We didn't get to explore the farm this time but will do so on our next visit.

Nothing that we can think of

This farm house is so stunning and perfect for big family gatherings. We loved the fireplaces and fresh farm milk on arrival. The communication with Tamsin was great. We would definitely stay again.
