House 217 Gowrie Farm Estate

This property really is a great option when staying in the Midlands. The place is super clean, spacious and comfortable. The beds are amazing and the space is very functional. Even though is was a cold weekend, the rooms were warm and we were comfortable with the underfloor heating and extra blankets. The location is perfect to explore the surrounds. The communication and assistance during our stay was very clear and v helpful.

There were a couple of missing cutlery items which would have been helpful to have, as well as a baking tray or two but we got by. And definitely need to sort out the lighting in the lounge - it was not at all enough. We were also missing lights in the bathroom in the main bedroom.

Just quicker response from WhatsApp questions and too many rules about not allowed to picnic or even walk around the estate but I understand where they are coming from as well.

The place was spotless and everything required was found on hand. All the appliances worked perfectly, there was sufficient crockery and cutlery for the number of guests and it was all cleaned quickly the next day. Fantastic venue.

- No heating in the bedrooms - underfloor heating did not provide any heating and did not work in some rooms No electric blankets Was miserably cold and host did not respond to messages until morning Even after electrician attended to the issue the underfloor wasn’t warm enough as was not supposed to be set on higher temperatures 🙈 - Old toaster that doesn’t work - after second day when we asked cleaning staff to change some towels we were told they are not allowed and we need to discuss directly with the host 🙈 - mugs that are: chipped, cracked, dirty in cupboard 😭
