With a name that translates to “Beside the sea”, there's no wonder why this 5 bedroom, 4 bath home in the Whalehead community of Corolla is such an amazing find! Book 'Ar Lan Y Mor' and enjoy being next to the beautiful beach in Corolla, while also taking advantage of the private Whalehead community. Your days will be filled with smiles and sunshine while splashing in the waves and private pool. Shoot some basketball with your little ones, then rinse off in the outdoor shower before you warm your muscles in the hot tub!
Enter through the Ground Level and you'll find the master bunk bedroom with double pyramid bunk sets and a semi-private bath. There's a ground-level lounge area with a convenient kitchenette, and through the doors lies the private pool and hot tub area. Take advantage of the gas/charcoal combo grill to sear up your favorite seafood fillets. There's even a laundry area for convenient mid-week washes.
The Middle Level holds most of the other bedrooms. Here, you'll find a queen bedroom and a twin bedroom with double bunk bed sets. These two rooms share a semi-private, full bath. There's also a master queen bedroom with a private bath and private access to the covered deck!
The Top Level holds the spacious great room, equipped with ocean views from the sun deck and Crow's Nest! The dining area offers seating for 8 and additional seating for 4 at the breakfast table. If that's not enough, have the kids hop over to the kitchen with additional bar seating for six. The top-level King Bedroom has access to the spacious sun deck. The property itself and the location were very nice. Lots of things to do. The 5:00 PM check in was a little late and the 9:00 AM check out was a little early. A warning to future renters, traffic on the Outer Banks the day of check in & out was horrible. Once we got on the island it took us over an hour to get to the house. Just need to include that in your plans. During the week it was fine. Our family enjoyed the vacation a lot

The property was only a few minutes to the beach. Biggest plus with the walk to the beach was the sidewalks - the kids did not need to walk on the road to get to beach.
My only recommendation would be the bedroom layout. Would have been better if the bottom level double bunks were switched with the second floor queen which shared a bathroom with the other double bunks. That way all of the adult’s would essentially have their own bathroom. Only double bunks ( kids) would need to share a bathroom. Just a suggestion- the house was great!
