West Cottage. Central, beautiful, 2 mins to beach.

Great amount of space and everything contained as needed.

Stairs are quite difficult for our older guests. Don’t remember seeing about accessibility difficulties in the ad. One of the bedrooms had flaking plaster and water damage.

Location was fantastic. House was bog enough for our party. Beds were comfy.

This property needs alot of TLC. There's paint flaking off walls. Light outside hanging off the wall. Lights on conservatory didn't work. Some lamps didn't work in bedrooms. Some windows didn't open and the ones that did only opened an inch or so. No cushions for outdoor seating. No door on 1st level to stairs which would be dangerous if you had children. Paints and liquids in bottles stored in easy to reach cupboards which children could get. The worse thing was the stairs. There was no mention of the horrific narrow spiral stairs. In our party was an 81yr old. 78 yr old. 76 yr old. 74 yr old and a 54 yr old. These stairs were dangerous and not suitable for people of our age. We had to drag the 2 mattresses from the bunk beds downstairs for 2 of them to sleep as the stairs would of been too dangerous to go to the toilet in the night. The kitchen bin lid didn't shut so had to put something heavy on the top of it to prevent flies. 2 broken chairs shoved in a bush. Windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. Kitchen floor needed good scrub. Outside furniture covered in cobwebs and bird poo. An issue with rats outside where the slabs are next to the outside storage brick shed. People had been putting big stones/rocks over the holes. We had been there 1 hr when a rat ran out. Our dog chased it back to its hole. There's no hand liquid wash on any of the sinks. The front door was very hard to open as the handle was too close to the frame. We ended up having to use the back door as a couple of times we struggled to get into the front door.

The location is very good and close to the beach and right in the middle of town. The cottage is quite karge with very good outdoor space and was quiet eventhough it is near a quite busy road. The kitchen is a good focus for daily life and opens onto the garden. There is also a conservatory which is lovely and warm. Good drying facilities as well. Bedrooms are of a good size. We really enjoyed our stay and are thinking of coming back.

I think the promotion material on booking.com needs to make it clear that one of the bedrooms is through another of the bedrooms. Also it should say that the stairs are very steep with a turn on them. Some people either with children or physical challenges woulkd really struggle with them. The wifi is not great and in the modern world, where people often need to do some work even when on holiday, this is a real weakness. If we had not had such a good time as a familiy, I would have ranked the cottage much below the 8 I gave it for these weaknesses. Other reviews have made these points and the owners don't seem to have taken these repeated comments on board--that's poor hosting.

Just a little cold when we got there but not for long and the traffic noise but nothing can be done about that.

Quirky cottage perfect for our family trip. Well equipped with pretty much everything you would need whilst away from home. It was a lovely gesture to leave a few nibbles, milk and wine on arrival. As with some of the other reviews, the stairs are steep but we thought it added to the character! My dad is in his 70's and managed to get up and down ok but may be more of an issue for less mobile people. Great location, very conveniently located to the town and seafront all within walking distance.

It did take a while to warm the cottage up downstairs but it may have not been stayed in recently and it was very cold outside as well. The garden was a little untidy but that is probably down to the time of year.

One key for a large group of people doesn't really work. Front door needs a proper handle as it was difficult to close from inside and out if not locking it. Lack of basics such as salt and pepper. No tea or coffee provided. Light bulbs missing in more than one room. One toilet roll per room with 8 people for three days? BBQ was filthy. No wood for fireplace provided. Small things that would have been expected with such an expensive weekend.

The welcome pack was a lovely thing to arrive to. The house was very spacious and clean. The kids room was great for the children to go off and play in giving the adults some much needed space! The house was in an excellent location very close to town and the beach.

The garden was a bit unkept front and back. My family commented on the weeds not being tended to. The house would have benefited from some basics being provided. More toilet roll, more than one tea towel, cooking oil, topped up salt and pepper, hand soap in the kitchen.

It was accommodating for 8 people, had a lovely big kitchen, solarium for catching the run rays, and had good size dining table and lounge room. The bathrooms had been upgraded and were lovely with one having a big bath, and gorgeous tiles. We managed the quirky hidden stairs and kept us amused every day. We were able to park our large vehicle in this location, as the location of this property was near the middle of the township and beaches. We would recommend this property.

We didn’t like the inability to start the heating system, even though we looked for instructions, considering it was Summer it was still cold.

Perfect for a group! Garden was big and private with suitable seating. All facilties were very clean and the kitchen was beautiful!

The location was perfect for exploring Cromer. It was very well equipped. The stairs would be tricky for elderly people and small children but fine for us . Loved the quirky layout of the cottage.

The location was perfect, the house was very quirky, had everything included to make the stay comfortable. Plenty of room downstairs for everyone to socialise. perfect, charming cottage.

It was not a problem for myself and friends that stayed, but the staircases in the property wouldn’t suit everyone. The property was clean, but there were a lot of high level cleaning that was missed.

Such a beautiful home. We absolutely loved our stay here!

Maybe a booklet of how to do some things such as turning the heating, hot water on etc.

The property had several areas to sit - two back rooms, a dining room, a conservatory, a sitting room - very important, as we were hosting a meeting of a writing group and intending to work. There were two sets of spiral stairs curling up behind the fireplaces and a wonderful kitchen. If you don't fancy cooking? Within ten minutes' walk of the property you will find enough cafes, restaurants and takeaways to keep you amused for a week without re-visiting any one place. And the owner answered all my questions patiently and within minutes.

A few basic items missing - no potato peeler or teatowels. Not a real problem as everything important was there - soft clean towels, comfortable beds, hot water on demand - we bought souvenir Cromer teatowels and took them home afterwards. This is a lovely place to hire, and surprisingly quiet given that it is within three minutes' stroll of the town centre. We would definitely stay here again.

A stunning property with all the mod cons and tons of character. we had a fab family birthday weekend away and really keen to come back at a warmer time of year so that we can take better advantage of the fantastic location. thank you!

Only downfall were a few niggles from the cleaning / maintenance company but owners were fantastically responsive getting everything we needed resolved very quickly.

It's a beautiful house and the decor is really tasteful. It was a real home from home. The equipment and facilities are excellent. In addition, it's a 2 minute walk into the centre of Cromer and 4 minutes from the beach. Sophie took great care to ensure that our stay was enjoyable and left a bottle of wine for us to celebrate our daughter's birthday!

Because of the property's age, it has narrow, winding staircases between floors. Although this wasn't a problem for any of our family, anyone with limited mobility could struggle to get upstairs.

Fantastic location so close to everything, great parking, comfortable beds, great kitchens and bathrooms, clean, everything you need from dishwasher tablets to cling film. Beautiful property with extra kids rooms, toys games, books.. Enclosed garden for dogs. Ideally suit 2 families sharing with school age kids.

Only downside are the stairs. Very steep spiral staircases on both sides of the property. Not good for grandparents or toddlers. 1 twin room can only be accessed via the master bedtoom but not an issue for most. Stairs are really unfortunate as we have elderly parents else we would be back like shot.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and had lots of space for a group of 9. The kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed and was a great social space. Despite being on the main road, it was incredibly quiet. Would love to stay again.
