Extremely dirty and disgusting customer service

The location was walkable to town

The property was extremely dirty and didn’t look like it had been cleaned for months. Curtains were hanging off the rails, windows were broken, there was mould in the bathrooms and the carpets were filthy. There were even fag butts and rubbish left at the property. After numerous times trying to contact the property managers, who were apparently going to speak to the cleaning team and come back to me, I still have had no reply after chasing several times since August. I also wouldn’t recommend using booking.com as no one has replied to me even though they advised they were speaking to the owners. I didn’t feel comfortable staying here with my children, and I wouldn’t recommend anybody booking to stay here.

It’s fine for what it is

The property is in a lovely quiet street, it’s been renovated and was suitable for our needs. The house has a lot of space.

The beds were all past their best. Old, cheap mattresses and pillows all need replacing. The entertainment centre provided didn’t work so no music. The dishwasher top rack was stuck and we needed to fix it before we could use it. There were cobwebs on light fittings, spider nests in radiators, the overall impression of the place was that it had been cleaned but not cared for. Heating only seemed to work in the ground floor of the house, the radiators upstairs didn’t come on when we tried to adjust the heating as it was a really cold night. The hosts asked me to send them photo ID which I’m not usually asked for when renting via this app, and then when I sent them what ID I had they didn’t tell me it wasn’t sufficient until the day before checkin so I had to provide someone else’s ID as well.

Wouldn't stay here again. Property ok, attitude of letting agent very poor.

Quite a walk to the beach but didn't mind as was quiet.

Being told that couldn't get in until 5 o'clock on the day. Then told I had to send over all my personal information again despite sending in June. Then had to pay £65 extra as we were taking the dog. They denied being told we taking a dog. I then forwarded them the email I had sent in June saying 6 adults , 1 small dog. They said they couldn't read their emails! I said I wasn't happy as had arranged with other family members to meet there at 3 o'clock as stated in the contract. Was told to just go to the beach and have an ice cream and wait. When we did get there at 5 o'clock the key code I had been sent was wrong so had to ring up an get correct code. Then trying to connect to wi-fi the information that was on their instructions were wrong. They had changed their system but not changed the information. Had to look on box for new password.

Layout is great with large lounge separate from dining room and kitchen Good to have en-suite, upstairs bathroom and downstairs w.c Comfortable beds and sofa bed fine OK distance from town and good bus service nearby

Winter break

Lovely little cottage within walking distance of cromer. Friendly helpful hosts.

Only slight problem as we stayed in winter was it was very cold and took a long time to heat up (took 3 days to get temp up to 16 degrees). The upstairs bedrooms remained very cold throughout our stay despite heating being on. This is probably just due to the nature of the building but wouldn't be a problem in summer and there was an electric fire in the lounge. Also not a problem really but just to make people aware the stairs were very narrow and steep and might be tricky for young children.

Disappointed

Not a lot, plenty of Rooms

Some Rooms smelt musti, The courtyard was full of weeds and when we looked inside the Bbq is was full of cigarette butts. The bins outside was full of Rubbish and smelt. When I went to open the door in one of the bedrooms it came of its rails and nearly fell on me. There was lots of cobwebs about too, it just didn't feel homely, I didn't sleep much as I was wondering how clean the bed were, need a good spring clean, we will not be returning to this property anytime soon

Lovely stay

Cute little cottage, seaside themed. Good location. Clean. Sky TV, loads of space. Close to beach, Warren Woods, Happy Valley, beach huts, lighthouse. Loads of kitchen stuff. Great hosts.

The house had a very bad small, the beds were really uncomfortable and the main shower did not work.

Property is not near the beach as advertised. Not in walking distance of beach. General outside appearance of property is "tired". Overlooked on 3 sides by very close neighbouring properties. Dirty shower with broken door and a very creaky, hard bed in ensuite room. Smoke detector missing in lounge. Crockery and glasses dirty on arrival. Dining area ok but small. Garden area is just a very small courtyard.
