Really nice house and a great fit for our party of 6 adults and 3 children. The screened in porch was a nice bonus, and we also enjoyed the outdoor patio areas. The location was excellent, with easy access to everything you need in St. Pete.
Unfortunately, the experience with the local host was very disappointing. I was given their number to arrange payment for the pet fee, and when I called, they were so unprofessional that I assumed I had the wrong number and hung up. They then texted me saying, “You could’ve said you had the wrong number, how do you raise your children,” which was completely inappropriate. I later found out it was in fact the correct number.
We were also not left with enough toilet paper or dishwasher tablets. It took 3 days and contacting Evolve directly before someone finally came by, but they brought dish soap instead of dishwasher tablets, which was not helpful.
The house itself could also use some attention. Several chairs were broken, one curtain rail was hanging off the wall, and a bathroom light did not work. These issues definitely put a damper on the stay. I also noticed that a previous review mentioned some of the same maintenance concerns a year ago, which makes it seem like they have not been addressed. For the price, I would have expected the property to be better maintained. There were also several baseboards missing in the kitchen, and some of the TVs did not have remotes.
One other issue was the number of mosquitoes inside the house. We live in Florida, so we are no strangers to mosquitoes, but I have never seen so many inside a home before.
