Nice lodge but needs some tlc.

Great location Loved the hot tub

Needs a bit of a refresh with some good quality furnishings. No blind in en-suite, bedside lamps not working, crockery chipped and scratched, only 3 bowls for 6 people, no scissors in the kitchen etc. All small annoyances but it’s not a cheap lodge.

Great stay and great hosts thanks

Great lodge, the little extra touches of shower stuff, tea coffee, towels make the difference. The place was clean and tidy.Hosts were great on messages too. Would recommend

Area it was in the holiday park

The false advertisement of this lodge,1st the kitchen sink cupboard was full of dirt when we arrived,you couldn't get a shower cause it was red hot,no cold water cause the buttons were broke,so we had to all get a hot tub bath,and this Sunday morning all getting ready for a wedding,terrible and it was raining too,in the pictures of this lodge there have a canopy over the hot tub,when we got there,there didn't,so we were actually getting a hot tub bath in the rain,then getting ready for a wedding,around the lodge the decking,the pics have artificial grass on,when we got there,again no artificial grass,so again false advertisement,the main bedroom double bed,terrible blankets also smelt badly,even the pillow i was sleeping on you could smell womens perfume,terrible terrible stay,all in all I'd rate our stay 2/10,would i book again never again,it spoilt our weekend away for my nephews wedding at merewood country house hotel,take my word don't book this,kind regards

A beautiful location and great amenities, but the poor cleanliness sadly took away from the overall experience.

The location was lovely, and the lodge had a modern feel throughout. There was plenty of storage space in the bedrooms, which was very convenient. The hot tub was a great bonus and added to the overall enjoyment of the stay.

The kitchen was in an unacceptable condition upon arrival. Dishes and appliances were dirty, and we even found unwashed pans with leftover food still inside the cupboards. The microwave and oven contained food residue, and the kettle was covered in heavy limescale, making all of them unusable. In addition, the clothes hanging rail was broken, adding to the overall inconvenience. We had planned to cook during our stay and brought our own food, but due to the poor cleanliness and unusable kitchen facilities, this was extremely difficult and disappointing.

Lodge very comfortable and well equipped. Huge selection of DVDs kept us entertained in torrential rain! Hot tub, swimming pool, arcade all great. Resort much nicer than expected. Evening entertainment was brilliant at keeping wee one occupied during dinnertime in restaurant. Staff all friendly and helpful.

Struggling to fault anything. Drying rack for clothes was broken so we balanced it precariously in kitchen and could do with hooks in the bathrooms and bedrooms for towels. Would've been nice to have a couple of dishwasher tablets provided & a couple of laundry pods but we got some in the on site shop.

A lovely quiet break in the Lakes for New Year

Location was fantastic for access to Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside. Just a short drive to Ullswater. The site is very quiet. The facilities were closed at this time of the year which we were expecting to be open so please be mindful of this if booking in January. Comms with Sonia were fantastic, the lodge was warm, cosy and felt welcoming. There was everything we needed and loved that there was an air fryer even though we didn't require one. A couple of minor issues were reported to Sonia which were well-received. The hot tub is fantastic, though only used twice for a very short time it was clean and looked brand new.

The facilities on site being closed though the owners weren't aware of this - just one of those things.

Excellent family lodge near Windermere

Excellent lodge, good facilities and the hot tub was just perfect after a day waking around Windermere. The location is no more than 10 mins drive from Windermere town centre. Excellent communication and directions from the owners made it a smooth and easy stay!

It was okay for a night but I would not have liked to stay longer

The location of the property is great. Not far from Windermere and you can get the bus in for £2. The property has great potential and had everything we needed for a 1 night stay

The property was not clean. Floors were dirty, as were the toilets and there were stains and mould on the walls anything we used from the kitchen needed cleaning before we used it. For example the cutlery was covered in food. I understand they use a private company to clean the lodge . I think the owners would find it beneficial to go to the lodge and have a good look around. Also the pictures do not match this lodge

Relaxing and ideal location.

It was beautiful and modern. The addition of the hot in was great when we’d climbed Scafell Pike. The park was also lovely and clean and the lodges were very spread apart. It didn’t feel crowded at all.

Beautiful caravan done to high standard. The decor was lovely everything was clean and tidy.

The hot tub was the best feature and was ready for us on arrival. The host also offered us early check in.

Brilliat time with the girls & we will be back.

Lovely lodge with hot tub, very well equipped even had a lot of condiments, shampoo/ con & shower gel. Very spacious at the lodge & close to the pub. Site was also very helpful & easy to book taxis however would recommend booking in advance 24 hours before so not disappointed. Hosts were so lovely couldn’t of been any more helpful & it was ready before our check in time so the lady messaged & let me know we could have a early check in. Excellent customer service & just made our stay that bit more special. Thank you we all had a great time & a great stay. We will definitely book again. xx

It was spacious. Had all amenities. Good size parking space.

Kept awake a lot by the hot tub switching on and off every 15 minutes or so. Apparently according to the hot tub guy, that is the norm.

Location 5 mins by bus from Ambleside. 5 mins by bus from Bowness. 5 mins by bus from Windermere town centre. 2 mins walk to the edge of Lake Windermere.

Lodge was well equipped and we enjoyed the hot tub. The area at the lake was lovely.

Not much storage in the kitchen for our food. We had to pay £70+ for leisure passes to use the swimming pool. Perhaps this could be included with the lodge.

luxury, modern and stylish lodge. Fully equipped kitchen with big American style fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. TVs in lounge and bedrooms. Highlight was the large hot tub.

Beautiful scenery, badly cleaned

Really enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the hot tub.

The Lodge wasn't cleaned properly, since there were many things left (as it looked like) by the last guests. E.g. half a lime in the fridge, an opened pack of cookies in the upper drawer.
