Die Lage und der Charme des Apartments.

Die Wohnungen sind extrem hellhörig und es ist damit sehr laut gewesen (vor allem durch die Gäste in der darüberliegenden Wohnung). Außerdem war die Kaffeemaschine lächerlich klein und damit völlig unnütz. Hier sollte man also unbedingt mal ein paar Euros investieren. Und auch die Tatsache, dass man nicht mal jemanden für einen kurzen Moment in die Wohnung lassen darf (zum Beispiel zur Toilettennutzung, auf einen Kaffee oder um beim Gepäck zu helfen), ist absolut unverständlich.

Poor quality bedding

The location and type of property is excellent. In the middle of the historic centre, in one of the best spots to experience Antwerp. Also the property is very nice, historical building, overall well-preserved, spacious, modern, with all the utilities. It can be excellent also for a group of people or a family. The price was also reasonable.

The property was willing to charge me extra 45 euros for cleaning costs on top of what I had already paid on Booking.com. I refused to pay the extra price, as was something that I was not informed beforehand, and thankfully we came to an agreement with the property of not paying the cleaning fee, which I appreciate. Then, I had to make a lot of phone calls to receive the address of the key-collection point. The assistant on the line, even very kind and willing to help, was not giving me clear directions, which made my arrival chaotic, hard to plan ahead, and disappointing. Then arriving at the apartment, after a quick inspection on the beds, realised that the pillow cases must have not been changed, as one was smelling perfume and the other sweat. I also noticed that towels have not been provided. After calling the company and letting them know about it, they dropped an IKEA bag at the door with two towels (that thankfully were clean). I had to use one of the towels to sleep on top of the pillows, as the hygiene of the bed was making me uncomfortable. It is noticeable that the kitchen has odours of food, cooking, oil, etc. which resulted in not using the kitchen as its hygiene was again questionable. The plates provided were dirty, with food stains, something that I find unacceptable. I want to hope that the bad hygiene overall was not a product of my unwillingness to pay the extra amount of cleaning fees that I was not included in the price at the first place. I want to hope also that the property will take the hygiene and house keeping more seriously from now on, because it is such a shame this excellent property to be uncomfortable and somewhat nasty for high hygiene standard visitors.
