Good location, nice garden but apartment is not so nice, unfortunately

Quiet residential neighbourhood. Nice garden (although due to bad weather we couldn't enjoy it). Lots of space. Very friendly owner (Sandy), showed understanding and flexibility, very responsive when we sent a message. Cleanliness was good, not really up to highest standard but OK. Easy parking. Good Wifi. Bottle of wine complementary. Coffee capsules complementary (useful because it's a weird Tchibo machine, good coffee btw)

Bed/livingroom is very basic. Bed was not very comfy also due to bad (at least for us) pillows, duvets and sheets. No bedlights. No TV. No sofa. No socket outlets in the bedroom at all (we always travel with a long extension cord which solved the problem). In the kitchen, plates/bowls etc are a bit ramshackle collection (kitchen equipment is OK, sufficient utensils/cutlery). Overall impression is that this apartment has not been prepared with even a minimum of love and care. That is a pity.

oasis of peacefulness.

At not more then a 10’ drive from Zürichsee and the center of Rapperswil, you can find a place which easily can described as an oasis of peacefulness. Sandy Junker’s B&B is located in typical suburban residential area were houses are surrounded by beautiful gardens. The house is big enough to reside more than one visitor without even knowing someone else is around. It’s located at the end of a dead end street next to a small forest. Besides the silence the garden offers enough space to enjoy a little game of soccer and to eat breakfast or have diner at the wooden table. We staid at the lower level which offers even more space. The apartment is a shiny modern style decorated place, comfortably equiped with brand new furniture and kitchen. A double kingsize bed and a spare bed offer easily room for a family with four folks. Our dog Moose was equally welcome and felt right at home. The toilet and bathroom are separated from the shower. Sandy welcomed us at our arrival, to hand us over the key and to show us around. A lovely glass of Cabernet Sauvignon offered by the house waited for us in the fridge. We had a top vacation thanks to our host Sandy. And the only thing what was missing, was more time to stay longer. We’ll definitely come back Sandy!
