Magic Hills Bali - Magical Eco-Luxury Lodge

The villa is amazing and it’s definitely a unique experience. The dinner was also very nice, we order room service and the best for us was the salmon Wellington, mie goreng and chicken cashew.

To be very honest, the table in the villa was still a bit dirty from the previous guests. I understand it must be hard to clean rest of the food in bamboo. The staff doesn’t speak English very well and it’s hard for them to understand us and explain the things. They have several tours but please keep in mind you are not paying for a tour. You pay for the driver only. And our driver was very friendly but didn’t speak English very well. Breakfast you can only select 1 dish and 1 drink. Another important point, hot water. If you put water in the bathtub and if you have shower after, you will have to wait maybe 1.5h to have hot water again. This was not explained during the check in. Check in process could be much much better, explaining what we could see in a walking distance, what to do etc. but no, it was here is your villa, here is the book with the activities and that’s it. - and again, you don’t pay for any activity. You just pay for the driver. It’s also very far from ubud. When we book we search for ubud on booking.com and this accommodation was showing but when we booked the transportation they told us it’s not really in ubud ( our mistake of course) Some activities are not available. There is no service in the hotel. So you pay for the villa and don’t expect more. I feel you have more properties like this next to ubud and you can do more things in a walking distance.
